Hey guys, I was thinking to get that said car in the topic for a budget of 30k for use for me to work and taking my parents on weekends (wanted a bigger car for comfort instead of touching vios/altis). Currently studying overseas, but will return to work in less than 1 yrs time. So wanted to ask in advance if it is a good choice overall.
More precise I am aiming for the 2.0E version but I imagine when I get back, 2.0G might be in my price range too (depreciation rate). May I know generally if it is reliable and affordable to run for that kind of budget? Thks in advance.

QUOTE(JtuneD @ Sep 19 2016, 03:52 PM) Very reliable & comfort car for 30K budget , 2003-2004 Camry which is ACV 30/31 but there is only 2.0E or 2.4V...try get the 2004-2005 FL version Oh really? There is a higher variant of the 2.0 segment if I rmb. Correct me if I'm wrong. And jz clarifying what is main advantage of FL version vs 2003 (apart from age & mileage)? QUOTE(0300078 @ Sep 19 2016, 04:03 PM) no complain car..... just need to see your luck only for cars that age. Becoz some parts may need replacement when you get it which may cost you few thousand just to replace or fix. But once you fix it assume another 4 - 5 years trouble free. True, will keep a look out for that. As far I know, newer cars are declining in quality a bit.

QUOTE(lsm1991 @ Sep 19 2016, 04:15 PM) that's a healthy budget..... very reliable car just remember keep some money aside to replace stuff e.g. mounts, bushings and such... its a d seg so its alittle more exp than one might expect.... Thanks for assurance lsm1991, will do. Would you happen to know roughly the pricing for these parts (if not taken from the 'potong-potong' junkyard)? QUOTE(Chrix @ Sep 19 2016, 06:24 PM) Cant go wrong with a decent condition one, buy from private sellers, forget the used car dealers. Cant get more reliable with that price bruh, you did good. Thanks for the warning Chris. Not sure, but I thought most old Camrys in general at first are tank-ish enough to even last through the car dealers' of what they come up with (except Topmark).
