X100 to me more specialised. As in if you absolutely love fix focal and like to experiment zooming by foot. Frankly if you not going to pixel peep much, rx100 is enough unless you have specific requirement in mind.

Kind of pointless debate considering x100 and rx100 are meant for different consumer IMO.

People who like retro styling camera with fixed focal, street shooters.

It is like asking which consumer for expensive Leica that only shoots B&W with no back LCD. It is absolutely not a travel camera, but there are people who bought it as travel camera nevertheless. Not saying x100 is not ideal for travel but the fixed focal may make you regret if you dont like the constraint.

Or just up your budget and get rx100mkiii. Problem solved.
