what is the use of rear fog light?

To be more visible to vehicles behind you during foggy / heavy rain conditions.

But Malaysians have a bunch of attention-whore drivers who keep it on even on fair weather nights.

In Proton cars, if the user switched on the Rear Fogs, that means they really do intentionally to be switch on, as the lamp will switch off automatically whenever lights off or engine switch off.

It is supposed to be very bright, some even brighter than brake lights. The point being if the rear vehicles can't see your tail lamps due to poor visibility situations, there is still a chance they can spot your foglights.

That's why those who use them during normal weather are utterly retarded.
