I have downloaded the most recent version of Winamp, version 5.32.After installation,i cant view the chinese words even with my NJ Star, version 2.50.It appears with some random crap.It shows the chinese character in the previous versions but not the few recent versions.

Is there anyway to fix this?

dun use winamp..
i use foobar / ttplayet / wmplayer
and use ID3tagIt for editing unicode tag

I also used ID3TagIt to edit my MP3 tag until I found out that it may corrupt your Mp3 if you add cover art to a huge album (over 100+ tracks). That's happen to me when I'm trying to add cover art for my Final Fantasy OST.

Corrupt Mp3 - When playing the certain MP3 file, one will see corrupted image and glitch between track length.

First of all, which version of Winamp do you use?

The following method is use to solve the problem for unable to display unicode for mp3 file such as chinese/japanese/italy in the songticker. Songticker is the column that display simple information about the played file such as artist and track title when you playback a song file.

If you used Version 5.32 and beyond, the following method will surely works, works for me though:

1) Open Winamp
2) CTRL+P to open up Preference
3) Go to 'Skins' -> 'Modern Skins'
4) Open up 'Font Rendering' Tab
5) Uncheck 'Internal TTF Render' - [X] Use FreeType internal TTF rendering

P/S: Please mention your problem in more detail in possible, brows.gif

winamp cannot display Traditional and Simplified Chinese Character at the same time....

if u have selected Simplified in the Language for non-unicode program. all others song that was in Traditional will not be display correctly...

eitherway, u change all the song info to simplified.....

or

im using this software Microsoft Applocale...
