The free spotify premium for MOP with 15GB of data is expiring as of 30/09/16, I got a message stating I would be charged 9.99 next month onwards, will the 15GB of free data still bundled with the Spotify service.

I am hotlink user which also comes with free spotify premium
but didn't receive any sms regarding about it

I think because we are all maxis one plan user. I just got this text as well. I'll have to depart from maxis if it's true coz 5gb per month is already suffocating.

the only reason i still paying for MOP is because free spotify premium. If that ends then no way I'm gonna continue with Maxis

I understand if you're removing the free streaming but also the Premium account? Come on, we were told that the Spotify Premium will be free as long as we're subscribed to MOP.

Just got the SMS, I know you have T&C regarding this free service but without warning you told us you are going to stop it next month? What a shame.

When other telcos were lowering down the price and people were porting out, we maintained our subscription with Maxis. The free Sportify for MOP sounds good and we took the bait. It is fine if you want to stop the service but please don't charge me 14.90 without my knowledge as I was subscribed to the free service. If it is no longer free, please stop it and don't auto renew it. This is my primary concern!

This just leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

When they bungled and had to scramble to retain customers who were rushing for the exit, they dangled the free Spotify Premium as a retention tool.

Now, less than 6-months from that shitstorm, they take away the very incentive they offered to stay.

Yeah, same goes to 3 months iflix trial, please don't auto subscribe afterward.

Maxis already had enough of customers. Our value in their management view is zero. Now the management want to test in how many people will port out when they removed the free Spotify Premium. Second stage will be reduce the internet quota. Maxis feels that they had offered too much during the previous crisis. As long as people are porting out but Maxis can maintain their profit, it is fine with them. They don't need to employ so many CS to take care of the huge customers thus saving operating cost. Maxis only want customer who is willing to accept what they offered, keep paying like water fish and no complaints.

I stay with maxis because it at least help to save money. Now i going port away.

This is just like maxis giving something for free until you get addicted then start to pull it away. All the music junkies will surelt subscribe

I got the same message earlier too. Looks like I can terminate my MOP since my contract already ended.

So what is the benefit of MOP now?

Because of this stupid Spotify issue, I've just called up 123. I will be with Celcom Gold by Monday. Nothing can convince me to stay anymore ... Adios, suckers.

To be fair the free trial duration was indicated upfront. Even digi didn't provide free Deezer access forever. I don't mind subscribing as Digi gives music freedom.
