This just leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

When they bungled and had to scramble to retain customers who were rushing for the exit, they dangled the free Spotify Premium as a retention tool.

Now, less than 6-months from that shitstorm, they take away the very incentive they offered to stay.

When other telcos were lowering down the price and people were porting out, we maintained our subscription with Maxis. The free Sportify for MOP sounds good and we took the bait. It is fine if you want to stop the service but please don't charge me 14.90 without my knowledge as I was subscribed to the free service. If it is no longer free, please stop it and don't auto renew it. This is my primary concern!

Yeah, same goes to 3 months iflix trial, please don't auto subscribe afterward.

Maxis already had enough of customers. Our value in their management view is zero. Now the management want to test in how many people will port out when they removed the free Spotify Premium. Second stage will be reduce the internet quota. Maxis feels that they had offered too much during the previous crisis. As long as people are porting out but Maxis can maintain their profit, it is fine with them. They don't need to employ so many CS to take care of the huge customers thus saving operating cost. Maxis only want customer who is willing to accept what they offered, keep paying like water fish and no complaints.

their didnt update yet ?

Whether you're in a mood for pop, rock, soul or hip hop; Spotify Premium gives you on-demand access to millions of songs on your devices without the ads! Normally, you would have to pay RM14.90/month to subscribe to Premium. But if you're a MaxisONE plan user, you're getting it FREE!

still free from website?

Well
This one from tnc

For postpaid customers: MaxisONE plan 98, MaxisONE plan 128, MaxisONE plan 158 and MaxisONE plan 188 customers enjoy more than 15GB of free Spotify Premium data (which is NOT applicable for song browsing, including scrolling through albums and playlists with artwork) apart from the free Spotify Premium access. This offer is valid until 30 September 2016. Pursuant to Clauses 5 and 6 of this SSTC, we reserve the rights to discontinue and stop the Service/Spotify Premium at any time.

Many did not read T&C, typical "customers always right" mentality

Because of this stupid Spotify issue, I've just called up 123. I will be with Celcom Gold by Monday. Nothing can convince me to stay anymore ... Adios, suckers.

To be fair the free trial duration was indicated upfront. Even digi didn't provide free Deezer access forever. I don't mind subscribing as Digi gives music freedom.

@Maxis so what's the deal? You mentioned earlier in the thread to ignore the sms. So is this expiring or not?
