Get the DELL, it is IPS panel which is better than the SAMSUNG. TN panel in samsung won't be as good as the DELL in viewing angle, color contrast, etc.
Another notable model is S2216H.

Yes, it provides better viewing angle but not all IPS is created equal. Most cheaper IPS monitor is using e-IPS panel and higher end might come with H-IPS or S-IPS which offer better color gamut and viewing angle. For most of the user, e-IPS is more than enough since you not using it for professional graphic or photo-editing. Please note that the 178degree viewing angle is marketing gimmick and your won't be getting that, the color accuracy will also reduce after a certain degree of view. I would say after 90degree, the color will shift.

I don't have VA panel monitor but my TV is VA panel, the black color is really black compare to IPS black so watching dark scene in the night is great but it is poor in viewing angle compare to IPS and the color contrast is weaker than IPS too. I based my comparison with Sony TV (VA) and LG TV (IPS). I never tested on VA monitor so cannot judge on it but if it is the same as TV then I prefer IPS for anime because anime mostly colorful.
FYI, i'm using vibrant profile when watching anime on my Sony TV (VA). Anime looks better with vibrant color IMO.

QUOTE(Wildcat @ Sep 24 2016, 10:58 PM) Hi - can comment this Dell S2216H model against the cheaper S2240L ? S2216H got built-in speaker with lower response time 6ms gray to gray compare to S2240L 7ms without speakers. In term of spec it is almost similar but I think S2216H got a better design with smaller bezel.

Hello, you can consider our GW2270 range.
VA panel, great for watching anime too. IPS is nice no doubt but remember that shows are generally made for TV and if you see TV their colors are different from IPS panel for professional purposes.
So yeah consider that model, good price too.
