Under 55k, cheapest is a 2nd hand 2006 Honda Civic FD2.0. It has multi-link suspension
Under 35k, cheapest is a 2nd hand 2004 Honda Civic ES2.0. Not sure what suspension.

You can also find some of the older Civics such as the EK or EG around the 25k to 35k price range but those are are pre 2000s, not sure if you want to go that far. Fairly certain the older models use multi-link suspension.
