yeah..maybe got something to do with the upcoming china trip..whether it will be based on the Chief of Navy version of 15 to 5 plan or the government's own version of 15 to 5 plan is the big question now..

What the Chief of Navy have in mind doesn't mean the government have the same plan as well..things can change depends on the budget and maybe political reason as well..the number of ships per class can be reduce or maybe the type of ship to fulfill each role can be change as well..

China made ship for LMS

“On November 5, 2016, the Defence Ministry will sign a contract for the procurement of Littoral Mission Ship (LMS) with SASTIND (The State Administration for Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense of China), which is an important essence of the official visit of the Prime Minister to China by the end of the month,” Hishammuddin says at a gathering at the ministry.

so for start half will be made in china and remaining here in malaysia
