Two killed, one injured in Mexico military helicopter crash QUOTE Two people were killed and one injured when a military helicopter crashed in Mexico's violent state of Tamaulipas, the latest in a series of such incidents.
The chopper was on a reconnaissance flight eight kilometers east of the state capital of Ciudad Victoria near the US border when it came down, the defense ministry said in a statement.
The cause was unknown, media reported.
The aircraft was carrying two pilots and an army officer. The co-pilot, the sole survivor, was airlifted to hospital. [sos]

Brazilian Air Force plane crashes while trying to take off from the Champ de Mars QUOTE A plane P-95BM (Bandeirante Maritime Patrol), called "Bandeirulha", the Brazilian Air Force, crashed on takeoff at Campo de Marte in São Paulo, around 16h Sunday (9).
According FAB information, the plane suffered damage to the landing gear and the motor.
The two pilots and six passengers on board not hurt.
The pilots lost control of the aircraft still on the ground, during the start of the takeoff and the plane ended up falling nozzle on the lawn next to the runway.

Military helicopter with 3 on board goes missing in Vietnam QUOTE HANOI, Vietnam (AP) — A Vietnamese military helicopter with three people on board went missing during a training flight Tuesday, an official and state media said, in the latest in a series of incidents involving military aircraft.
Online newspaper Dan Tri said the Eurocopter EC 130, a light training helicopter produced by Airbus Helicopters, lost contact 15 minutes into the flight and was believed to have crashed into a mountain 80 kilometers (50 miles) east of the southern commercial hub of Ho Chi Minh City.
It said a pilot and two trainees were in the helicopter.

Pilot killed as PAF Mirage jet crashes in Karachi QUOTE KARACHI: A pilot of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) was killed on Tuesday as his Mirage jet crashed near Karachi’s Musharraf Colony.

IAF Mi-17 helicopter crash-lands during routine drill exercise near Chamoli QUOTE In a critical incident, an Mi-17V5 helicopter of Indian Air Force has crash landed near Mana Pass of Chamoli in Uttarakhand during a Army drill exercise of the Kumaon regiment at North of Badrinath, Joshi math sector.

Grenade explosion on board Colombian Air Force C-130; One soldier killed QUOTE A flight carrying Army troops became tragedy after a grenade exploded, apparently by accident inside the plane killing a soldier.
The incident occurred aboard a Lockheed C-130 Hercules Air Force, carrying troops from the Anti-Narcotics Brigade of the Army between Florence and base Marandúa (Vichada).

F/A-18C Fighter jet crashes near Marine training base in Twentynine Palms, pilot ejects QUOTE An F/A-18 Hornet fighter jet crashed and burned in the desert at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms but the pilot escaped with no major injuries, Marine and county fire officials say.
The accident happened shortly after 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25, according to preliminary information.
“The pilot ejected,” said Marine spokesman First Lt. John P. Roberts. “There are no injuries, based on the reports we have right now. They were going to take him to a hospital...as a precaution.”
The accident apparently happened while the plane was landing.
“The intial reports were that he’d already touched down,” Roberts said.

Helicopter crashes in Iraq's Salahudin due to technical problem QUOTE TIKRIT, Iraq, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) -- An Iraqi military helicopter crashed Saturday in Iraq's northern central province of Salahudin due to technical malfunction, a provincial security source told Xinhua.
The chopper crashed while it was flying near the town of Mkeshifa, also known as Dijlah, some 140 km north of the Iraqi capital of Baghdad, the source said on condition of anonymity.
Iraqi security force rushed to the scene, the source said, without giving further details about the fate of the crew.
The incident occurred as the Iraqi security forces backed by anti-IS coalition are carrying out a major offensive to drive out the IS militants from its last major stronghold in and around Mosul in northern Iraq.

Rwanda Defence Forces chopper crashes, no fatality QUOTE Two officers of the Rwanda Defence Forces (RDF) escaped with minor injuries after a military chopper on Thursday morning crash-landed in Masaka area in Kicukiro District.
Speaking to The New Times, the Defence and Military Spokesperson Lt Col René Ngendahimana said that the chopper had four crew members on board when it crash-landed in a field in Masaka.

It is known that two of those aboard the helicopter have since been discharged and the third is expected to be discharged during the course of today.

Chinese female aerobatic pilot killed in accident QUOTE A female aerobatic pilot of the Chinese air force has been confirmed dead as the result of a plane crash on Saturday.
The PLA's Air Force confirmed via its official Weibo account that the accident took place during routine training.
Air Force spokesman Shen Jinke expressed regret over the death of the pilot, captain Yu Xu of the Bayi Aerobatic Performance Team, vowing that the FLA's Air Force will continue in its duties and be stringent in training.
Media reports said pilot Yu Xu was killed in a failed parachute jump when her plane crashed somewhere in Yutian County near north China's city of Tangshan.
She is the first of four female pilots in China capable of flying the country's third-generation J-10 jet fighter.
She piloted a training plane in the military parade marking the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic in 2009. Her last public appearance was in the just-concluded Zhuhai Air Show.
It's reported Saturday's accident involved two planes of the Bayi Aerobatic Performance Team of PLA's Air Force.
Yu's copilot was injured and is being treated in hospital.
