Looking to buy a 27" monitor with budget around RM1000. Mainly use for gaming and watching shows. Any good recommendation?

What GPU do you have right now? Pushing 1440p can be quite a task for most graphics card... hmm.gif

Pretty hard to find good 27" 1440p for RM1000 I think. Most obvious choice is Korean monitors but those are not as cheap as they used to be nowadays. If you can find one for under 1K that's the only option that ticks all three boxes - 27", 1440p, IPS. Other models seem to be priced at RM1500+.

27" 1080p will easily fit your budget - can even get a top model with fancy features maybe - but I don't even want to imagine the hideousness of a 27" 1080p panel. Maybe an ultrawide 29"? Nice for watching movies and doesn't look too cikai.

So if 27" 1080p which brand is recommended? I don't think ultrawide suits me because my shows are all in 16:9 ratio. Thinking of curve monitor hmm.gif Saw one today looks not bad

Can't really help there. I'm still happily rocking a U2412M myself. thumbsup.gif For RM1K you can probably go for a 144hz panel I think. TFT Central is a good resource for reviews.
