exactly why i say most people dunno shit about elevators

yes, they may know about brands

but do they know who is the supplier? who can service this? how frequent and what certification needed to be renewd every year?

elevator or lift is considered as vertical transport system, and under jurisdiction of JKKP

some malaysian suppliers & oem svc provider: thysenn krupp, antah schindler

rm15,200,000/ 18 lifts = rm844,444.44 per lift.

lol.
*
it's about there

a 4-stop elevator cost about rm 300k, exc GST, transport & installation

an 18-stop elevator will cost more, even though u only need 1 car, u need 18 stainless automatic door, longer wire ropes

then you need the wiring for the lift motor room, automation, emergency call system, testing & comm, JKKP certification, and all that

which leaves you with about rm 100k profit per eleveaotr

1.8M profit over 15.2m = 12% margin is not much. if it is me, i'd aim for at least 25 - 30%

*
200k might just be enough for a 2-storey house / private elevator

it's kinda cool to have own evelavotr in house. esp if you are on wheelchair

hahah... BMS, nak mintak master password dari supplier kena bayar rm15k, just for master password. and then they purposely use proprietrary protocol comms, havisla if you want to integrate to existing BMS

those 3 storey houses with lifts, how much to service/maintenance/spare parts/repair?
electricity bill will be high if use everyday?
*
surprisingly no. electricity is only used if you use the elevator. nowadays, elevators can enter standby mode and switch off the lights & exhaust fans.

Schindler
Otis
Mitsubishi
Hitachi
Toshiba
Sigma
Dover
ThyssenKrupp
Dong Yang
Kone
MS Elevators

Choose one.

Dong Yang is cheaper cuz it's lesser known, I guess? Correct me if I'm wrong.
*
thyssenkrupp is painful to work with

u either have a long term contract with them or u don't

they don't like to service / repair elevators that is maintained or previously repaired by others

I thought LG and Goldstar stopped making elevators?

I saw most of the old ones are modernized into Sigma's.

Their designs are similar after all. Eg: Display, fixtures etc.
*
ya, korem. you really know your stuff. it's sigma now.

it's made in korea
