Apple Releases iOS 10.2.1 With Bug Fixes and Security Improvements

Apple today released iOS 10.2.1 to the public following several weeks of testing. iOS 10.2.1 also comes more than a month after the release of iOS 10.2, the second major update to the iOS 10 operating system.

iOS 10.2.1 is a free over-the-air update available to all iOS 10 users. It can also be downloaded and installed on iOS devices using iTunes on a Mac or PC. The update is still rolling out and may not be immediately available on all devices.


No outward-facing changes or new features were discovered during the beta testing process, suggesting the update focuses on bug fixes and performance improvements. According to Apple's own release notes for iOS 10.2.1, the update brings unspecified bug fixes and security improvements.

The iOS 10.2.1 update will soon be followed by a new iOS 10.3 beta, if rumors are correct. The first iOS 10.3 beta, with a new "Theatre Mode" was rumored to be coming out on January 10, but has not yet appeared.

It makes my iPhone 5 performance worse and it's full of bugs, been running ios 10.2.1 public beta 4 which is equivalent to the final version. Used the feedback app and apple doesn't seem to bother with my feedback, will be doing a downgrade to ios 10.2

My iPhone for some reason doesn't seems to identify ios users for some reason, durinf public beta 4 I also noticed that the keyboard sometimes goes up and down slightly and crashes

my 6s with 10.2.1 works fine
still fast

I've had a whatsapp bug since using the iPhone 7 Plus from day 1 (iOS 10) so here's hoping 10.2.1 will finally solve it...

im still on 10.1.1 .. still contemplating whether its worthwhile to upgrade

Just installed yesterday. And coincidentally there was a Whatsapp update yesterday as well. Will give it another couple of days before reporting back.

im using iphone 5 and it has lower benchmark score than usual and ive no idea why , maybe im runing the beta 4 version of it

Is it available for public beta? Currently running ios 10.2

So far so good. No more freezing of the home button.

i have update 10.2.1 about 2 days ago and i notice that my battery get far more badly worst from 10.1.1, when km at 10.1.1 batter was good for me feom 6am to 10pm and left with 45% battery , i just unplugged the charger this morning at 6.50am 100% battery and now already 10.47am 50% battery level.. by the way im using iphone 6s plus 16gb

anybody have similar issues ?

having some issue with facebook app where it won't display the badges notification on the home screen. anyone encounter this issue as well ? Yes, i've already deleted and reinstall the app, reset bla bla and all kind of stuff but to no avail.

ip6+ checking in. After update, so far so good. Before got issue witth the power % not correctly displaying. Now back to normal.

Just updated to ios 10.3 public beta 1 seems to have higher geekbench score than ios 10.2.1 and does seems to solve one of the issue I have so far. My contact is able to sync and identify ios user
