just to play the devil's advocate, would it be that bad if we for one season dip into the EL and try to actually win it? it would probably be more financially beneficial if we crash out of CL knockout stages compared to EL (maybe?), but sometimes i wonder how we would fare in the EL, we would probably be the favorites to actually win it, rather than continuously crash out in the Ro16 or quarter.

of course the way sanchez and ozil are playing this season so far we might go further than quarters, but hindsight is 20/20. EL of course does not have the same glamour of CL, but at least we're going to be favorites to win the title. not to put down the other teams playing in it, but come on we're not a bad team are we?

Well for once I can't blame Casa. Seriously how many chances to go top can you screw up like Arsenal?

This year is appearing eerily similar to last season. We had at least four chances to go top during critical stages last season and we mucked it all up. Needless to say we failed to win the league.

And this year that is two in two now we have screwed up again to go top despite presented with a good opportunity. Sorry but if you were happy with the point we got against a mediocre Boro side and a weakened and injury hit Spuds team then perhaps you will be happy with fourth place again.
