elneny/coquelin imo is too... un-creative. when will one of xhaka/santi/ramsey coming back?

G thrives on competition.
sanchez is really vital to this squad now. best player on the flanks, now also can play up front, provides competition that giroud needs |

QUOTE(meaj @ Nov 4 2016, 12:10 PM) A moment of silence please for the special one kakaka. just to play the devil's advocate, would it be that bad if we for one season dip into the EL and try to actually win it? it would probably be more financially beneficial if we crash out of CL knockout stages compared to EL (maybe?), but sometimes i wonder how we would fare in the EL, we would probably be the favorites to actually win it, rather than continuously crash out in the Ro16 or quarter.Menyu is one miserable team right now you can almost smell the air of hopelessness about them. I hope they stay that way when we meet them in about 2 weeks time from now (19 Nov) For all of our shortcomings all these years, we've never been that bad. We never even knew what it's like playing in the EL. of course the way sanchez and ozil are playing this season so far we might go further than quarters, but hindsight is 20/20. EL of course does not have the same glamour of CL, but at least we're going to be favorites to win the title. not to put down the other teams playing in it, but come on we're not a bad team are we? |

monreal hasnt been that good this season, keeps getting skinned by speedy wingers. gibbs deserve another run in the team.
coq/elneny is so uncreative in the middle, but i guess wenger wanted a solid CM rather than the slow yellow card magnet Xhaka and positionally undisciplined Ramsey. we really miss santi in the middle. |

way i see it, sanchez has a great partnership going with mesut this season. i think mesut's worth every penny. he hasnt been as electric as he's been before, but i've seen him in worse form at Arsenal. i dont think he's playing bad at all, just not the best we've seen from him. alexis is on the form of his life, and currently thriving playing up top. these two are probably the closest we've ever gotten to henry/bergkamp levels since their departure.
ramsey is an example of a player playing bad and struggling to reach his own high standard. although the new partnership with xhaka might change his form, we've yet to see more games with the pair. |

QUOTE(tkh_1001 @ Dec 9 2016, 07:50 PM) agreed ozil and sanchez are both complementing each other very well we've got a good enough spine for the team tho, with cech-kostafi-ozil-sanchez. it's been a while since we've had a striker that's properly lethal, and now we've got sanchez it feels like a proper team again. not saying giroud is terrible, he's still a great option to have, but we've really missed having a lethal striker since RVPsometimes when i see the team plays, it kinda feels to me they both can partner very well cos they got no one else to combine with lol the rest of the squad not enough quality to get into "their kind of gameplay" |
