they're cheaper and easier to install(can DIY).
Cons: It's ugly,noisy,consume more electricity
do they cool well? They're widely used in the US and they're still selling it in Singapork

cos they are old fashion in that sense.

that say i saw one 2013 usa video of showing split unit aircon being sold there so many usa comments asking about such "new" aircon design

diy my ass.... I had one long time ago, hired someone to make a hole in the wall just for that aircond.
switched to the split unit aircond years ago and never look back.

Wait until you compressor starts to make noisy sound. Split unit you can put the compressor further away. Hence, minimising the compressor sound coming in.

I saw few videos where they introduced split unit to homeowners and they're very excited as fuck because they've never seen it,in Aus it's quite popular

they said it's because of the vents design. it can be wall only or window only or both.

this one I tried at Aeon Big the Elba one. Macam kipas aje,not cool pun but I walked infront of KL Sentral counter before and they had a Pensonic one there and I can feel the cool air

if not mistaken, the difference is at the mounting bracket, for wall install or window install..

anyway, their split unit install also very different for compressor part also, usually they put on a concrete pad on the floor, while ours is wall hung

because their houses got big land so the can put in on the ground and also because they can a small box electrical just for the aircond biggrin.gif
some hung them too and I was shocked when a guy said his Mitsu split unit always rosak,troll la tu shocking.gif

See angmoh they are so pro. Wiped the indoor blower to clean it first. Look at the distance from the wall for the compressor, that's good circulation unlike ours, so close to the wall.
