Hi All,

If anyone of you would like to register as a Uber Partner/Driver, feel free to PM me your details to get started (under my referral).
I have seen many people who are not sure how to register and looking for more info. Hopefully this will help you, all below are based on my experiences.

An user activation would usually be completed within 24 - 48 hours.

Below are the basic requirement/rules to register as a Partner:

a. Car manufactured year is 2008 or newer
b. Has 4 doors (Satria, CR-Z cannot)
c. Full Licence (P Licence cannot..)
d. Your name should be stated as a driver for the car in the Insurance Cover Note

To answer your FAQ's find the below:

1. How much can I earn?
I have been doing this part time and been comfortably bringing back home RM400 weekly. The best part? I drive minimally on weekends! icon_idea.gif
(before deduct petrol & TnGo, usually 25-30% will be the cost, I drive UberXL, hence my fuel consumption might be higher than normal shocking.gif )

Above is a screenshot of my week

2. How long do I need to drive per day?
As you wish, there is no minimum hours. However to ensure you're getting value, recommended minimum 2-3 hours per day. I usually drive 1 hour before to work, or 1-3 hours after work.
If lazy want to drive, I go back sweat.gif

3. Can I do this part time?
Yes. I am doing this part time too

4. The car is not mine, can i borrow my gf car?
Can. Doesn't matter whose car it is, as long as your name is on the insurance cover note!

5. Is it worth it?
For me, yes because I need the money. Its the easiest way to earn extra cash. Plus, I decide my working hours.

6. How many trips do you drive per day?
It comes down to traffic and where the riders destination. Current average is between 5-7 per day. Usually I aim for between RM60 to RM100 per day, not trips.[/spoiler]

Thank you!

I am not sure about that.. But this is the classification of Uber categories :
QUOTE
At present, vehicles may only be on a single product (except for uberX and uberXL)

uberX: 4-door vehicle, in good condition, year of manufacture should be less than 8 years of age.
Typical vehicle models: Perodua Myvi, Proton Saga, Toyota Vios.

uberXL: 4- or 5-door 7-seater vehicle, in good condition, year of manufacture should be less than 6 years of age. Must have 7 seats configuration in place.
Typical vehicle models: Toyota Innova, Proton Exora, Honda Freed, Hyundai Starex, Toyota Estima.

uber BLACK: 4-door premium sedan, MPV or SUV, year of manufacture should be less than 5 years of age. Should have leather seats.
Typical vehicle models: Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, Nissan Teana, Volkswagen Passat, Honda CR-V.

Vellfire should be Uber BLACK coz imo its premium MPV? Then again, I might be wrong.

Best to clarify with Uber? biggrin.gif

then dont go back to kl after klia there's plenty of places you can go to subang, nilai, bangi, bukit jalil, or any klang valley suburgs. dont tell me your chasing jalan imbi/bukit bintang lame 1.2x surge, even kl dosent surges doh.gif uber dosent have high demand in kl neither we dont have 5x surges like in the us.

I'm seeing uber drivers testing out seremban going to check for a week if they're still there or increase meaning there's demand in seremban

alternatively you could drive grabcar instead they have high demand in klcc area but problem is some of those demand takes you out of kl where there's no demand. most drivers are both grabcar and uber drivers switching around because neither has the strong consumer demand required for a perfect scenario unlike san francisco.

I think its not a neccesary because they used the word "should", not "must".
My suggestion would be to register and try your luck. Its free, no harm trying anyways thumbup.gif

Which area are you driving at? If you're not sure, I strongly suggest to ask uber via the help section.
Usually they are prompt. thumbsup.gif
