QUOTE(ashraf095 @ Sep 17 2016, 01:10 PM) Difficult choice. Buy vostro + external monitor or Asus + external keyboard. Both not very practical tho. How about considering some older model like Dell inspiron 7447? But again, it is still 14" but kinda thick and quite heavy. Battery life also will be shorter since it is equipped with faster and more powerful quad core processor + GTX 850m. If wanna buy new notebook better get with skylake processor its make huge difference on battery life and performance. I used to have a 7447 and now i have a 7559 now. If i have a choice i would go for 7559 This post has been edited by Velocity: Sep 17 2016, 05:15 PM

QUOTE(ashraf095 @ Sep 17 2016, 05:54 PM) Surprisingly at the moment, all 14" Dell laptop doesn't come with FHD screen, but all 13.3" comes with both FHD and backlit keyboard. Tough luck. 7559 is always the best bang for bucks. However TS wanna change from 15.6" to 14", so it can't be helped. go for K401. I have the K501 its surprising very light. 15.6 on a 7559 like carrying a ton of bricks but on K501 that like 1.5kg only

QUOTE(sscloudstrifey @ Sep 18 2016, 09:14 AM) Uhmmm sorry for being a noob, but what's a skylake processor? I only know a little bit about these things lol, and which laptop uses it? Must be pricey, no? another word it means its the 6th gen processor. Most latest notebook uses it Refer this list for the notebook with skylake CPU http://www.ultrabookreview.com/8162-skylake-ultrabooks/This post has been edited by Velocity: Sep 18 2016, 09:48 AM
