Hi peeps, currently im using stock myvi lagi best player and stock speakers. Everything is good, i just need a good sub as the bass from the speaker sucks laugh.gif NO i dont wanna install box behind as already myvi has tiny back space, if put box confirm cannot put any bags. I just need internal good bass, not windscreen shattering bass.

How about pioneer underseat sub 10 inch? I heard good reviews but price scary a bit. Any other brand to recommend for quality and good sound? Honestly i dont care about brand but sound quality must be there.

Secondly, this player below got my attention recently. It plays almost any formats via USB, has bluetooth, camera input, full HD, screen looks awesome, mirroring and many more functions. Seems like a very good player for money.

The brand : Smarto OEM universal dvd system, made in Taiwan

Price : RM1000 excluding gst and installation

Warranty : 2 years, 1 to 1 exchange 6 months

Anyone using it? Any review? I know it has tons of functions, but sound quality wise? And i dont wanna buy something that kaputs fast, afraid of taiwan and china products based on OEM brands sweat.gif rclxub.gif

Im quite stuck between this player and a pioneer dvd double din player, i know pioneer sound is great but doesnt play many formats via usb, only limited and not full hd as well.

I know it doesn't fail on me as ive been using pioneer for many years. The thing is, it plays very limited video format via usb. And its not HD either. For the same price, that OEM brand gives almost double to triple of the functions. Thats why i asked if anyone used that OEM brand before........

So Kenwood and Pioneer, which do you vote the highest for quality and longer lasting? I know its pioneer cause ive been using their products for many years, very seldom it fails.

Underneath sub is waste of money I feel lahh... depends on what type of music you hear too... I prefer to put 6x9 speakers and also upgrade the front speakers to component.. fire it up with 4 channel amp and voila

Im not really looking for heart thumping sub ler. Just some comfortable bass only

Don't go for OEM HU... They are the crappiest...

Double Din HU.. Go for Alpine, Pioneer or Kenwood..
The latest models comes with network mode... Meaning you can go full active setup 6chl. You can customise lot of things there and control each speaker individually.

Don't go for seat active subwoofer too...

The thing is, myvi has very limited space on its booth. So i got no choice than installing underseat sub cause thats what saves me space. I would actually go for branded sub. As for HU, yes i agree, id go for branded.

my advise...dun ever think just to try....

when u have a mind "just try", you actually falling into the trick for those low quality products that sell you functions rather than quality. because they know a lot people just "try luck"....spend a few hundred just to try, after spoiled then forget it is common malaysian mindset....to me this is the worst way to spend money.....

if u can make sure the product never fail, then yes cheap 1 will do..but how can you sure about it fail or not? after so many review still think you are the lucky 1?

spend 30% to get 100% from branded? so lucky ya?

underseat sub is useless = wrong....it serve a purpose. but most people carry the words" just try" and go buy a cheap and lousy 1..then say "ya it's uselsss"....of course man, you buy the cheap 1 !!!

For a good bass performance, try out the Infinity Basslink SM that is sold at xciteaudio.com. I've installed it and IMHO, it has a pretty good bass response and has a rich bass feel to it. But it has it's limitations and many say these underseat subs are just good for SQ. Personally, I think if you just want a nice, rich and compact bass that does not take the breath out of you, underseat is good enough. If you want loud and pounding bass to crush your lungs, then go for those subs that fit into your boot. I've fitted the Infinity into my myvi lagi best and it did not disappoint me in terms of boosting the low frequencies and giving a good sounding bass. I have it hooked to the OEM myvi betamek HU which sucks a lot of a$$ big big time and yet the underseat functions with no noticeable issue for now.
