topic...i am new in this and i am currrent on nikon digicam 7 MP

want to buy dSLR

-i open one not many ppl reply in the main thread so i open in subthread

budget put aside... 1st... not too costly...

hmm... shooting photo like event , object, anything that is nice will be in the camera... u looks harsh in ur sentence and put a smiley there... lol...

but u said d80 was costly, it leaves only d40,50 n 70s? for photo events, lenses would be more important, good aperture, tele reach, etc.. going into the world of dslr-ism requires a hefty investment. if u're not ready for it, it'll be hard smile.gif

D50, using SD card, same with D80. I would say if you have tight budget, D50 is good enuff. Most important is the lenses. Without proper lenses or other accessories, its difficult to shoot under certain circumstances...

D80 would be must preferred choice if got much money...


size wise is D80 really big as compare to D50...

D40 is not worth buying cos not good for several lenses rite...jz double confirm wif ur all
i almost choose the wrong one that is D40 till someone told me...

D40 is definate out of the list....

I would recommand D80 or D70s with 18-70mm F3.5-F4.5 if ur budget allow.

hmm.. actually i got one old f60 wif a tele lens my dad bought wrong he should have waited longer... cos the digital just came out not long after that model....
