I am a new Mac convert, having bought my new Macbook from the Mac City store at the Curve for a steal thanks to the tip off I got from this forum. However, after the euphoria of purchasing possibly the sexiest kit that I've ever owned, it dawned on me that I know nuts about OS X and although it has a help function, it isn't as concise as i would like as I still feel like a fish out of water after going through it.
So i wondering if there are any useful sites that will be good for former windows users like yours truly to get to grips with OS X.
Will appreciate all the help i can get.

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Jan 28 2007, 11:44 AM) Phat_techie, Congrats on ur new purchase! Did u just get it yesterday? What apps or programs are you referring to? Most come readily available with your MB, no? You may also want to just do a quick browse through past threads to see what's been spoken of - i did that and learnt quite a bit. Btw, how great were the sales for things like ACPP, Mouse, etc etc? Yup. Got it yesterday. I was actually pretty lucky because i got the last unit that was offered at RM3999. They sold out after about 20 minutes into the promotion and unlike my previous experiences when buying computers, this was by far the most pleasant. The shop staff really went above and beyond what i had expected. Anyway, coming back to the topic at hand, I've not gotten around to using any of the apps or programmes as yet. I'm still trying to figure out how to get about things, i.e. learning what does what, and what goes where. But thanks for the prompt reply guys. I didn't really expect an answer this soon.

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Jan 28 2007, 02:52 PM) Timber, What's Butler for? Will check it out in a bit. Phat_techie, Any other discounts available I should go check out? You'll get used to the MB soon enough, trust me They've got another promotion for the IMacs on the 1st of February. I think they're going for 3699.
