i do that most of the time
but u have to make sure the engine has enough torque to pull the car from standstill la

sometimes i do skip 4th gear
i engage 3rd gear, then i take over cars, after settled down, i shift to 5th gear to continue cruising

also, with RPM matching, its possible to shift without the use of clutch

you just need skill try googling

dont need too precise, but about there, still, do this alot, the sync will be gone also
