I've been testing iOS 10 public beta since Apple release them. Notice that whenever I'm at a location where Maxis signal isn't full bar, I'll experience problems like unresponsive data connection, unable to receive calls/SMS and sometimes even get the "No Service" at the signal indicator on my iPhone 6S. I've been waiting for a fix from either Maxis or Apple ever since I reported the issue in late July.

I've tested the following:
1. The same SIM card on my Redmi Note 3, working as expected
2. Celcom SIM card on my iPhone 6S, working as expected

What I've been getting from Maxis was resetting my account > test not working as expected > report back. It's repeated a couple of times until I gave up. I wonder if Maxis has anyone from their technical team look at it or not. If it's really an issue, this could potentially be a big problem when Apple officially released iOS 10 to the public in a few days.

Telco firmware: Maxis 25.0
iOS version: 10.0.1 (14A403)

Anyone has similar issues?

Updates and compilation of feedbacks:
Symptoms can be observed on iOS 10 or newer installed on iPhone 6S
So far, iPhone 6 has been confirmed not having these symptoms.

Final updates:
Turns out that it's a defect with my unit. Send back for warranty claim and I'm happily using the phone with Maxis now. icon_rolleyes.gif

Updates:
Looks like it's only happening to iPhone 6S. I upgraded my wife's iPhone 6 to iOS 10 after Apple's officially release, no problem at all.

On my iPhone 6S, I've reset network settings, all settings, delete all content and settings and finally reinstall iOS 10 via iTunes but nothing fixes weak signal problem.

I've logged another case with Maxis and hope that the technical team will be able to help out.

Updates:
It only happen at areas with 2-3 bars 3G/4G signal.

Latest iOS 10 Public Beta doesn't help either

it's definitely related to iOS 10. Apple and telco need to work to make sure both the iOS and cellular firmware are optimized.

In US, T-mobile urged their users not to update to iOS 10 to avoid these symptoms until they've work with Apple for a solution.

sorry to say that but I'm actually glad that I finally found someone with similar issue. Are you using iPhone 6S and iOS 10 by any chance? We need collect data to help ourselves and Maxis troubleshoot this problem. Please report the issue to them and point them here if need to. I've done that and still waiting for them to do testing.

Noted and thanks! For me it's worse, at areas without full bar signal, the phone will hop between no service, no-data, Edge, 3G and LTE. Data connection is one thing, making or receiving calls, sending or receiving SMS are a problem at these areas as well.

I had to my backup Android phone with a MultiSIM to share the data connection and receive calls. vmad.gif
