Many people has no clue in choosing which 'Action Camera' is the best for their travel. Yes, for travel! Many Malaysian using action camera for travel (selfie) instead of extreme sport. Thus, Ricoh Theta S and DJI Osmo falls into this review even there are not really an Action Camera.

Lets Start with the lowest in price:

1. SJCAM (Price Range RM200 - RM500)
Positive:
- Cheap
- Acceptable quality for the price
- Complete accessories

Negative:
- Quality is a big question.
- Many fake using SJxxxx model in the market with lower price and worst quality
- Too many model with similar spec.

2. Xiaomi Yi Sport Camera (Price +- RM300 for camera only)
Positive:
- Cheap
- Good quality for the price
- Mount is same as GoPro. Easy to find accessories

Negative:
- No accessories given in the box
- No Waterproof case given. Separate buy causes the price higher than SJCAM
- No LCD Screen

3. Eken H8R ( RM350-RM500)
Positive:
- Using Sony Part in its body
- Very good Photo and Video output
- Many accessories bundle including REMOTE!

Negative:
- 360 feature is a big question
- I could not think much about the negative side of this camera as the output is awesome given its low price.

4. Hero 4 Session ( +- RM900)
Positive:
- Small and versatile
- Easy to use
- Produces good photo

Negative:
- No LCD
- Has to connect to app to Change some settings
- Built in battery make is difficult for long shooting (last about 2-3 hours. Better than hero 4 Silver/Black battery life)

5. Ricoh Theta S (RM1600-1800)
Positive:
- 360 degree photo offers something different than other camera
- Good quality photo
- Easy to use

Negative:
- Built in Battery
- Built in Memory
- Not many app or sites supports 360 view make photo sharing looks bad.

6. Garmin Virb XE (RM1500-1800)
Positive:
- Easy to use and very good photo output (sharper image than GoPro)
- Built in GPS
- Awesome design

Negative:
- Built in Battery
- Charger cable is unique.
- Expensive accessories

7. GoPro Hero 4 Silver/Black (RM1700 - RM2200)
Positive:
- It is trending now because of awesome photo and video
- Very good and reliable mobile app
- So many accessories for so many purpose

Negative:
- Price is too expensive

8. DJI OSMO (RM2300++)
Positive:
- Awesome design
- Come with 3 axis gimbal make your video output like professional shooter
- Come with phone mount as display screen

Negative:
- Price is a bit high but consider it with gimbal make it worth to buy (GoPro Gimbal alone will cost around RM1500 to a total of over RM3000 for Gopro+Gimbal)
- Big in size
- Not many accessories and expensive.
