I'm planning to 1.5T but i love to have LED headlight which only available in 1.5TC.
Is there add on LED headlight package offer by Honda? I know there is for Leather Seat
*
Stick with 1.5 TC
That's the best variant
The extra 7-8k+ for 'premium' led lights , navigation (only use waze) , dual ac(not needed) and chrome door handles not worth it
Led can add later on
The 10k saved better use to add bodykit or coating wink.gif

the dual ac is useful for passenger
my waifu always prefer lower temperature
*
Not everyone needs it..8k for that? Ok haha
For a small car how much difference can the temperature be from both the zone when ur inside the car?

for my view, 8k worth it. its comes with leather seat+LED+GPS+17" Rim+Chrome door+dual zone aircond

The car not required body kit, its already sporty. No need coating, feel i can take care the car well.
*
FYI , TC already have leather seat & 17" rim
Ur paying extra for navigation, dual ac and LED only wink.gif

I will disagree with the statement... I am driving 1.5 TCP.. 3 weeks ready.. i love the ride and the performance. Dont give opinion based on hybrid tale/experience...
The car doing very well, depends indvidiual opinion.
*
Agree!
That's why never get the low base spec..u will end up regret..
The feel when u press the accelerator and it just moves on with the pick up is dem syiok..and when take over cars or just cruising on hway..

However Honda should have made Leather seats avail for all variants..it's not a cheap price we are paying!!

Not the matter of top speed. If 170kmh.. even myvi or saga can hit 170kmh. In our daily drive, we seldom drive up to this speed. It is the satisfying feeling when you step on the accelerator and the instant acceleration & power especially the 220nm torque from just 1700rpm from Turbo that makes the different. But still up to individual. Powerful engine only will be appreciated by ppl that enjoy the power. If often drive slowly with no hard acceleration, then no point to get Turbo also. 1.8 still the best choice...
*
I believe civic owners are the latter ones that understand civic history and enjoys the powerful engine given with new tech..even with turbo also can cruise slowly smile.gif

I just hope Honda could do different type for 1.8 engine..

Like leather seats + LED light.. haha
*
As with HM they don't have more than 3 variants for civi and above usually
But who knows next year all will have standard leather seats that's my wish too

Nowadays LED lights are pretty standard for the price u pay just that in Malaysia that seems 'premium'

Initially i also considering 1.5 TC as just different by RM10k only with leather seat, 17" sport rim and 1.5 turbo engine. Not to mention the cheaper road tax.

But all i need is a reliable car with appropriate power, i learnt that those turbo car as per some members highlighted in V1 or V2 thread, turbo engine will drop in performance after 6 years or may need overhaul and require more frequent oil engine service (about 7k km).

Secondly the resell value likely will worst than 1.8cc as per current second hand market for turbo car compare to ordinary car.
The second hand market just not believe those special car like turbo or hybrid engine.

The most important is when i test drive 1.5tc, the engine is so loud and shaking. I n my wife can feel the vibration in driving cabin. This 1 really push me away. I'm wondering probably that due to show room car n everyone just tekan it to the max n spoil the engine.

I'm driving a 1.6cc car which could push to 170kmh easily. Hence, i think 1.8cc is good enough to satisfy me. Moreover, the top limit is same as 1.5tc since the machine is capped that way. What's the point of getting higher power if u cap it?
*
No such vibration and noise in driving cabin my friend
If got all turbo variants will be returned back di

It's the same for me.  We could easily afford either 1.8 or 1.5 TCP, but opted for the 1.5TCP instead for the wifey's car.  The 1.5 TCP is a special car in it's class while the 1.8 is more "typical" compared to it's competitors.  Full matrix style LED headlights and LED fog lights, and pushing out a decent 173hp and 220nm while still getting excellent gas mileage.  The interior also feels premium with the leather.  To each their own, but if you can comfortably afford either the 1.8 or 1.5 TCP, go with the 1.5 TCP.  You'll enjoy the car much more over the 1.8.
*
Correct exactly! Good point!
The car will surely be enjoyed a lot more than a typical car.

If want value for money car just stick to b-segment , already spent so much for base spec civic really should at least get TC model if TCP is too much.

If worry about resale value, engine bla bla and all it's better to stick to other segements

Also depends if this will be your main car or not. In our case, this is our 2nd car. Didn't need to have a soft turbo since we already have a D segment turbo which is the main car for outstation trips. Hence, didn't see the need to spend an extra 22K to get the 1.5TCP. Our initial choice was either the Honda City or the Mazda 2 so the Civic 1.8S was an upgrade. Plus, wife will only keep the car for 3-4 yrs before upgrading again. The 1.8S will hold slightly better value % compared to the 1.5TCP.
*
Buy already stop justifying so hard plz that you got other 'turbo' car or wife will keep 3-4 years only then sell lar please..no one asked for those info. Yahlar sell after 3 years get facelift one. Smart move for someone concern about money extra 22k with slightly better value

Honda Civic won car of the year from carsifu award.
But their selection of finalist is questionable

Anyway it's the TC-P specs that won it hehe wink.gif
