I am planning to buy civic  1.5tc, what is the average discount now, should I wait for batch 2 or end 2016 to get more discount?

I think it doesn't matter. The simple rule is:

1. You can afford it; and
2. Want to use it; and
2. The price is reasonable

Just buy it and use it.

Why? because since you are probably going to be using it daily, therefore the opportunity costs of waiting 2-3 months negates the possible savings anyway. Also,if you are selling an existing car to buy this one, there may be a possible drop in the sale price as well. Lastly, the quantum of discount is not known

just my 2 cents

Try flipping it around,

Trip A for every refuel,
Trip B for every startup

lol whats the different by flipping it, calculation still the same... the problem is i hardly move a kilometer in every drive and i jam like hell

i just literally sit in the car and playing with my phone for half and hour everyday for a short trip

oh sorry, I thought u were the guy who had problems setting up the fuel counter - in the picture earlier

Well... with that kind of jam, I think any car FC also will be pretty bad unless its hybrid.

I agreed on the hrv part...

for the civic turbo, my real concern is on their engine reliability and the maintenance. I believe the maintenance table in Honda Malaysia website for the civic turbo is still incomplete. Correct me if I am wrong.

I think the maintenance table was completed a long time ago, when I got my car in June. Quick check, and it's there. https://www.honda.com.my/model/maintenance/civic?id=62

As for the engine, as one of the few lucky ones who got their cars first, bought without proper test drive, can say no issues at all. No overheat bla bla bla. I have been using it as a daily driver for 5 months now.

Just some common build quality rattle noise, which can be rectified. I think if there is anything to be even a least bit concerned about is probably with headunit/AC as experienced by some of our members. Nobody really experienced anything bad with the engine in itself.

Only thing I don't like about the engine is the variability of service interval. Because I'm always stuck in traffic, I may have to service my car earlier than 10k mark because of the way the oil change alert system works.

For maintenance, you may need to go twice in 6 months e.g. 6000km need to go change engine oil (follow maintenance minder), then go again for 10k service. This situation is only for the 1.5tc engine.
Why don't they just change the oil filter along with the oil? it goes together anyway. Nobody so free to go 2x in 6 months

most efficient way is to press on the on/off button. Instant off.

Else, I just use the slider... easiest way without reaching out.
