Nope. Happened during traffic jam. The sister (original driver) got out of the car to change drivers as she got tired. The brother just scooted over from the passenger seat to the driver side and accidently pressed the accelerator.

Imagine my surprise when the kancil hit the back of my car and I saw on the rear view mirror that the brother in the middle of the driver + passenger seats and a lady was standing outside of the driver door.

Seriously - I cannot brain this chain of events...

1. Passenger was lazy to get out of the car to change driver.
2. The driver didn't put the car on neutral when getting out of her car.
3. Changed drivers while on the "overtaking/fast lane" - even if it was during a standstill, it's still wrong.

Just my bad luck, I guess...

On a side note, I was on brake hold at the time - it performed admirably, the car only moved forward slightly - I didn't hit the car in front of me biggrin.gif

Sorry to hear about that.. sad.gif Good thing is nobody getting hurt.

Btw, anyone experiencing the clicking sound on dashboard? It sounds like a relay switching for me.. i experienced this recenty after just started the engine.. "click click click..." for around 20 sec then stop..again when drive slow 15km/h-25km/h, the clicking sound start again. After that it wont happen again until i start the engine again next time. some times hear the sounds but sometimes not.. but recently is happened quite frequently..

Getting my 1.8 Ruby Red this Thu. What is the recommended tint? Raytech or LLumar? What about coating?

Appreciate if members in this forum can provide some contacts, preferably in Puchong.

Thanks!

I had those click or tick sound often. Usually happens when i just started the engine and just started moving. Happens almost everytime during fresh start of engine.

But it will only happen during the first 2-3minute of the drive, and only have around 2-5 ticks. After that it won't happen again until you stop the engine.

What is the variant of your car? 1.8S, 1.5TC or 1.5TCP?
1 of the TCP owner here also experienced this problem.

don't think its a problem la.

im guessing all also like that.. the car is quiet at low speeds that's why u hear all sorts of clicking.

i can even hear the turbo spooling up/down at low speeds in very quiet neighborhood.

and the cvt whine...

and some sound of the compressor engaging disengaging..

and some sound of fluid moving around... (totally not sure what sound that is)

but its all normal...(according to HM la.)

when the chevy cruze came out they had to redesign the fuel lines because the car was sooo quiet you can hear the sound of the fuel being sucked into the engine.

our car still japunese... they not gonna R&D much into sound insulation vs contis..

they say civic benchmark vs A3... i never sit A3 before but A4 memang way way more refined compared to civic. but A4 cost almost 2x of a civic..

what is NOT normal is that damn rattling on the right side dashboard but no time to go fix it... hehe

I think either of these 2 would be an improvement over stock halogens. Though it would still be yellowish in light. If you want a whiter look, you can try Philips Diamond or Crystal Vision; but light output would be less

Just changed mine to Philips Crystal Vision 4300k. biggrin.gif Looks better for me although still a bit yellowish vs DRL. Really cannot tahan the yellow light beside the LED DRL. sweat.gif Overall feel slightly better lighting than Ori Halogen. Easy installation. I think is easier to remove the wire socket first then only the bulb. Sample for those who are looking for 4300k bulb smile.gif

I have ordered stuff from overseas [not Thailand].. Basically Customs tak kacau if below 500/- [for books/cds] but l dont know about car stuff.. about electronic gear - sometimes if you are unlucky, they can ask for SIRIM certification n that is a whole lot more paperwork to apply for..
IMO, if you can get it locally, get it, its a whole lot less red tape..
