Maybe they will stop the whole Note 7 product from launching since it is already plagued with all sorts of negative news and start fresh again with a new model next year. Note 7 will be limited edition then lol icon_idea.gif just a piece of my mind, may sound ridiculous to u all innocent.gif

I am continuing to use my Note 7 as normal as only a small percentage of phones are affected by that one supplier of battery and my understanding is that Malaysia SME sets battery are not from that supplier.  When I fly,  I just follow instructions not to power on or charge.  Will exchange for new unit on September 29.

Same here. I am actually quite in love with the phone, it's excellent and definitely the top phone in terms of design and usability imo if there aren't any exploding/bootloop issues. thumbsup.gif

Bro, i got conned too. I went back to the store (Mines) with the receipt and ask they why they charge me rm100 for the SP. They gave me a lame excuse that the staff wasn't aware of the price. They actually refund me and they owe me 1 SP. You should go back to the store and challenge them.
*
Ok glad to know that you got refund. How bout the another SP that they owe u, got give back? Will go make a hoohah when i am free. Mine was the Samsung shop in 1Utama.

I think Mines is the worst, i rmb that i went there to ask the price of original SP and the staff told me RM149!

The worst thing I told them that original Samsung SP should be only rm39 for two pieces, they twisted the fact that they don't carry it and the different brand they sell is RM149... What a liar out there! It is better someone bring them for profiteering case and punish them with hefty bill.
*
Agree with u. After they told me RM149 then when i say ori should be RM39 then the staff immediately say some contradicting nonsense, "Err..the ori SP is RM39 but if you want us to stick for you then it will be RM149. We have no ori SP stock left atm.."

I was thinking wtf help me stick SP nid service charge of 110?! bangwall.gif

Ya. When I was thinking about this, I suddenly realized. In these days, we saw so many explosion news here and there all around the world. People said those are so bad and negative, and those news are ruining the brand and image, etc. But do you all realize, why those explosion cases keep coming in, and it's still hapenning until this day? The answer is very simple! It's because at this very moment, there's still got many users who ignored Samsung's warning and they are still using Note 7. As simple as that.

Samsung did recall the faulty units, Samsung did post the warning, apologizing, refunds, exchange, compensations, etc. We should applause for the gesture. But they forgot one thing that they have no power to stop and avoid. The most important thing! The human nature. Some people said they won't be afraid of it. Some said it won't happen so easily. Everyone has their very own reason. But at the end, if it really happen, who would be blamed? of course the victim would not blame themselves. Instead, they would blame Samsung. That's the human nature.

If ALL users stop using Note 7 and return the faulty units, one, it will keep you safe, two, the explosion news would stop immediately and Samsung's image is safe. Isn't this a win-win situation?
*
Easier said than done bro. Wait till you feel the greatness of Note 7 in your own hands that time then only u will understand our feelings.

That is what I want to say too.

Like me without any spare phone and my business need a higher spec Android phone so I will continue to using it, some more mine is working great and almost No Problem At All.

Some more as what I have mentioned before: There is NO EXPLOSION CASE IN Malaysia & Singapore.
*
Same, I have no spare phone to use and it is working fine, can't guarantee that it won't bootloop but so far so good. biggrin.gif

Although there aren't any cases reported yet but I suggest you to monitor the battery temperature constantly. For me, I am using GSam Battery Monitor to check on the temperature.

So, YES store in 1U mentioned to me:
"Return your phone to us on the 29th, then we will contact you in October to get your new one"

Samsung store in 1U mentioned to me:
We are giving one year extra warranty, NOT the screen crack warranty for one year. If you want, you can top up to get the screen protection warranty on top of the extra one year warranty we give you.

Samsung Careline (via email):
Sent a request for clarification on the entire thing on 14/9
Got reply on 16/9 asking for details, replied immediately
No answer after that

YES care
Sent a request for clarification on the entire thing on 14/9
Just got a reply on 18/9 asking for my phone number.

I advise you to be careful of what Samsung Experience Store at 1U(not the Service Centre) told you. Just in case they try to con u. Even ori samsung sp they also want to cheat customers. (Eg. Selling for RM99 when RRP RM39 and then never give the other piece of SP to you)

It seems logical.  But then some people would complain because Korea HQ already claimed that you will get the replacement unit no matter what. I guess people expected that each country's Samsung branch would follow the same procedure. But at the end, every country have their own procedure.  sweat.gif

Any way to bring this issue to the Samsung HQ? brows.gif

Ok, I didn't thought of that.

But I still think it should be done by SME themselves rather than going back to respective vendors (Courts, Sen Heng and etc). At least the directions would be clear and no miscommunication in between.
*
They are trying to let the vendors to con the customers by giving unclear instructions. Even the official Samsung stores are not trustworthy vmad.gif
