So now we not sure how long is the screen crack warranty?

I remember Courts says its 1 year. But Sen Heng is 4 months?
*
Numerous posts saying SME said the screen crack warranty is started on the day you collect the new device.

The replacement would also require you to return the full box set which includes the provided fast charger, USB Type-C cable, headset and USB connectors. Samsung Malaysia also has mentioned on Facebook that they are offering 1-year screen crack protection (worth RM149) plus a free tempered glass with the new replacement unit. Before handing over your unit, you’re advised to perform a full backup to the cloud or through Samsung’s Smart Switch PC application.

Please don't be misleading.

They are only requesting people to switch off and do not charge it during on board.

I noticed your posts were all about losing faith to Samsung since the battery issue.

One do not need to repeat itself so many times unless you're a recorder.

Chill bro.

haters gonna hate smile.gif

if they wanna waste time doing so, we cannot stop them

wat we can do is choose to ignore them thumbsup.gif

LOL. When one is posting good news, you clicked the thumbs up button. When one is sharing bad news and the concerns, you say it's wasting time to do so. Very good.  doh.gif

Btw, I am not a hater. I myself is Note 5 user + potential buyer of Note 7.

So I understand now. Once you masuk this thread, you can only praise, you can only love. You cannot critisize, you cannot express your frustation and disappointment. For god sake. Is this a forum or is it some sort of a private fan club? I am confused now. rclxub.gif

Anyway, looks like all my previous sharings and concerns were somehow labelled as hater action. I may stop sharing what I found and leave you guys alone. Should I?

Sigh....
*
Sorry bro. I overreacted. Just feel irritating seeing all these bad news and getting mocked by friends while I am 1 of the owners.

....like seriously, i own the damn phone, i know it's being recalled, no need to rub it in....

but just laugh with them lo, since not ur fault also, then ma no issue liao, malu for what.. it's still a great phone with a dangerous flaw.
*
Exactly.. Normally dun find me chat.. Then suddenly tag me those posts sleep.gif

As I have noted before, ways to protect yourselves are:

1. Charge your phone to ONLY 90%
2. Trickle charge your phone (avoid fast charging, use 5V 0.5A-1A)
*
what i have done so far is, leave fast charging on, always unplugged when it 100% rightaway or not too long, the temp is way much lower, from my observation, when you charge the phone approx around 60% it will heat up to 40celcius, although is considered safe as other forumer, just my 2cents of safety precaution.
*
i turned off the fast charge and then turn off the charger once the phone got a green LED indicator light

Personally I don't think fast charging is the culprit as it's already available long ago in Samsung devices.

But the battery isn't the same right?

Battery technology is the same.  It's just manufacturing defects if we trust what they announced.

Yea, been thinking on this too, since they focus mainly on the battery issue only.

Exactly~!!! I was poorfag and has been saving money damn slowly while still using Note 2. I thought Note 7 will be the one that I will get while it's just launch. Then this happened. Friends & relatives been asking me to switch to other phones, either another android or even iOS but I just love the S-Pen. The screen capture feature alone I use at least 5 to 10 times daily to share info with others. (Screen capture, annotate, share then cancel screen capture).  Damn you Samsung~!!!
*
damn...u reminded me of this feature HAHAHA i actually love the s-pen a lot biggrin.gif very convenient

QUOTE(thugs @ Sep 10 2016, 11:14 AM)
Some people said change motherboard will solve the bootloop issue... Hmm...
*
nt sure sia...waiting 29th for replacement

btw, since now my phone got bootloop, do I need to take it to SC? or just put back into box and wait replacement?

Because of the long wait till replacement, there is no further praise but just complaints about the situation. Really sad. Unfortunately Samsung requires that time until 29th to get enough replacement sets ready for the very successful prelaunch sales. If they had replaced it yesterday, there will be other complaints and doubts if the replacement sets are genuinely fixed as it would have not been possible to have it arranged so fast. You just can't win, can you.
I had just switched back from note7 to note5 in readiness for the replacement. Immediately I missed my note7. It's like going backwards 5 steps. I'm going to wait patently until 29th. I am sure that the praises for the superior phone will start flowing again in this forum.

Dude, I switched back to my 2 years old HTC M8 sweat.gif
