i work there...nearly 1.5 years now...
lotsa different perspectives on ppl who work in BNM..
got it's pros and cons certainly...and it shifts depending on which department u work at and wat u want...
basically...
1.If u want money money money...then it ain't the place...
2.If u want job satisfaction with a balanced work life..it's great
Unrivalled benefits...
3.The stuff u do in BNM, u won't get to do it other places...there's only one central bank in each country...
about being untouchable....
there is a silent clause that says you are not supposed to work in any Financial Institutions is under the jurisdiction of BAFIA (banking and financial institutions act)..so tat cuts out most banks and insuracne companies...however ur free to find a job under the jurisdication of the securities comission..
however, this silent clause is only applicable 6 months after u resign...after that ur a free man...
ppl do get symptoms of being too comfortable in a place...and in my opinion...once ur feeling too cmofortable...it's dangerous cos u lose ur drive! this does not apply only in BNM but also in any other organizations...
It is kind of unfair with the clause of untouchable. You need to be 6 monthx jobless first before you can apply new job if you want to stay in financial field
