I don't expect to be cheapest in town, but the workshop is right next to my office so I'm paying a price for convenience. blush.gif

Full spec ori is 185/55/16, 205/50/16 isn't really that far off from ori spec

Depend on the manufacturer, mostly is 5 years.

Michelin is 6 years, not sure about Yokohama though

Ask a somewhat noob question...

Soft or stiffer sidewalls better for high speed cornering?

I using 205/50/16 Advan Fleva...just now high speed cornering at 90-100km/h, the rubber is screaming rclxub.gif

I pump 34 front 32 back...Honda City 2014

but really i'm impress this tyre , for the price , the grip level , not bad, its just the softer side wall not so well for spirited drive. considered that this is for that section of customer i think it did pretty well, the characteristics is like PS3 with slightly stiffer side wall , slightly higher noise. Same as PS3, harder compound and softer side wall. May be its a recipe for good wet grip, the wet grip of this tyre really pretty good ( yea, i'm type these after I touge during raining condition from karak to gohtong). I think this recipe also works much better with stock setup suspension, my fren fiesta fitted with it give quite high remark for it too.

Sorry bro, noob here.

So, it's better to run this ADVAN Fleva with higher tyre pressure or lower tyre pressure?

Pls advise notworthy.gif

brows.gif .....well, the tire is under the ADVAN range......moreover I have used bs Potenza re002, Michelin ps3 before......so without changing the way I drive......I probably can gauge the diff between the tires better......

Well I agree, I can push harder with Michelin Pilot Sport. But the performance difference...I still can live with it. The understeer is predictable, can correct without much trouble.

This comparison review by Autobild unfortunately doesn't look good on the Fleva and the aquaplaning resistance was especially highlighted as very poor while the overall wet & dry grip also low. It came out only 19th out of 20 tires tested!  sad.gif  It only won on being the most comfortable which is quite an irony given that this was meant to be a UHP tire.

Hmm...patutlah

I actually felt my previous tyre...Hankook Optimo grip better at high speed corners doh.gif
