Just started back WRC this season since Toyota came back with the Yaris, lost interest when Sebastien Loeb dominated, then continued by Sebastien Ogier. WTCC I like because of the variety of  manufacturers.

FP3: The 2 Repsol Hondas look tough to beat! Doesn't look too good for VR coz he's struggling with the hard tires on this hot day and only able to be up there with the mediums. MV though looks much better with p4 with the hards.

VR did a good lap to split the Hondas, but if it stays hot looks like MM will win.

This season nobody able to make breakthrough early and lead the race alone... All winners had some dog fight.. Gone are the days of Lorenzo and Stoner style of race alone winner, which is a good sign for us, haha..

MM did it again by winning at a flag-to-flag race, as well as VR did it again to screw up by pitting too late at a flag-to-flag race!

What has been the closest title fight suddenly bust open with MM a bit far in front now, sigh... sad.gif Cannot be just MM and his team who have brain to win in this type of race is it??! Very disappointing race indeed...

No worry, MM sometime having heated brain will fall-out in race..

Well possible but he's getting more mature since last year so won't be easy to catch him or push him into a mistake. Th fact that he is so talented and brave also what makes him so good in this flag-to-flag race coz he dares to take the risk to change to slick at the earliest time and able to stay on the bike.

Another thing that I see MM advantage during flag-to-flag is that he changes bike fast! He just hops immediately into the next bike in just one quick jump! Compare that with VR or Zarco who needs to get off to the ground first then hop onto the next bike (Zarco was even worse as he hop off then spun 360 to hop on the next bike!). That should give MM at least 0.5-1 sec advantage already.

Totally different riding style and character. MM is balls to the wall, aggressive type of racer with the most natural talent I think. JL is a lot more calculative and smooth style.

JL is a nervous rider, he admit it himself. He needs a very stable bike to perform great. biggrin.gif

MM gamble really paid off, if it started to rain in the beginning, he would be the biggest loser. Good fight by the Yamahas though. Biggest loser is Lorenzo, from lead to nowhere.

he is... plus his pure luck that soft rain makes him struggle and had no choice to pit early...that turns out a big bonus for him
