I know it's just 2 races but seems like Vinales has more problems than Rossi. Next race at COTA? Not gonna expect much from this race...

KTM has to improve significantly. Kinda sad to see HS struggling to even get points. Even Zarco is struggling
*
Probably struggling to adapt. Oliveira did well to adapt instantly though.

QUOTE(Aydee @ Apr 2 2019, 02:35 PM)
Yamaha is strong and I support VR but I think Suzuki can win too with Rins.

Yamaha seems to be strong in Termas (it's still a beast in corners) but might struggle to catch up at some tracks which require high top speeds to be competitive (probably at the same level with Suzuki if performances at Qatar gives any indication).

Seeing the bikes going through Eau Rouge is a great sight. Not sure if this will ever happen.

That last laps reminded me of Rainey vs Schwantz battle from late 80s/early 90s. Good to see Suzuki competing with the frontrunners & credit to Rossi for not giving up.

So the King has fallen... 3 times! Signs of his championship over? Let's see if this fall cost him the championship. Rossi is back with consistent self.

It's just 3rd race of the season... championship over what?

Quartararo is unlucky with the broken gear level... but at least factory Yamahas (especially ViƱales) did quite well (kinda expected this but hopefully not a flash in the pan).

Rins do have a great race pace but imagine if he started at row 2. Could've been closer to Marquez.

Bautista starting from P3. Quite good considering it's his first race at Imola.

I'm guessing Bautista might struggle at non-MotoGP tracks (there's 6 non-MotoGP tracks on the calendar & out of the 6 tracks, Bautista only have experiences racing at Donington from 125cc/250cc days).

Rins fighting for podium in a supposedly underpowered bike. He's a sitting duck on the straights.

If I'm not mistaken Mugello isn't Marquez's best track but he managed to hold on on his own against Ducatis. Even if he can't win he probably tried to finish as high as he could for championship points (if Marquez finished 3rd, he'd be only 4 points ahead of Dovi).

Rea to start at the back of the grid as punishment for yesterday's crash. Easy win for Bautista (provided he didn't crash) for superpole race.

Surprisingly Rea didn't win the 3rd race. Good to see other riders winning it though

nope... he just went to hrc factory for more expert to adjust his riding position/bike riding position to suits better his body and riding style... in order to properly ride that honda....

mm makes it look easy..in fact he wrestle with the bike...

dp couldnt do the same..and he struggle...

cc didnt dare to crash..no he didnt push it and couldnt bring the best out of that bike

Reminds me of 500cc days when doohan is the only rider who can tame the screamer NSR 500

It became easier for others to ride when honda switched to big bang configuration

Seems like this issue is nothing new then....

Plus pedrosa was quite good with bridgestone tyres..... no idea why he couldn't perform better with michelins (referring to 2016-onwards tyres).

Misano was raining absolute piss. Bautista couldn't keep up with Rea & Lowes seemed to have the pace to race wheel to wheel with Rea; too bad he crashed out.

Hoping for a dry superpole/2nd race.

It took Bautista about 2 laps to overtake Rea & poof.... race over.

Rea's save is incredible. First time I saw something like that.

Bautista crashed again, but this time it's a bit earlier (lap 2). Probably pushing too hard on cold tyres... sweat.gif

By now everyone already know only MM could tame honda. Nakagami did well while testing the factory-spec bike though.

It's pretty much adapt or perish.
