JZ on pole! The rest of the M1 are struggling except FQ.

The king is back in style! He truly rules this track. He should be just as strong in America I guess.

A fully fit MM can be either a blessing or curse to championship contenders. Imagine getting screwed out of the championship because MM took points from them laugh.gif

Just the nature of racing championships, none more apparent when VR lost to Elias in Estoril 2006 costing him the title to Hayden.

Would be a little sad if MM can't get back to his best. He was well on his way to break records.
*
Yup for sure. He is young and actually was still at his peak when got injured. No matter how dominant he was, it's still not good for the sport if someone so talented, arguably the best ever, cannot continue to show that ability because of injury and the young guns lose their point of reference that they can measure their performance and success against. It's like when Michael Jordan took his hiatus to play baseball for 2 years in the mid 90s the the Rockets won those NBA titles, there's like always an asterisk in their achievements that they only managed to win due to MJ's absent.

FP1, both copycats (copy team mate's setup) 1-2

Still early days and FP2 was wet. In case of MV, you can never know if he will be fast even if he got pole!

Yamaha boys going well with MV and FQ on top with surprisingly VR in 9th straight into Q2, but the Ducs are in trouble with only JM barely in 10th.

MM from hero to zero. Again using his sneaky tactic to tail JZ but this time it bit him on the ass as he crashed put in Q1 ending up 17th while JZ perfectly con everyone to steal the Q1 p1 at the very last second that even the commentator was surprised he still managed to get the lap!

MV from zero to pole with FQ a very close 2nd and FB a good comeback on 3rd. But based on FP4, seems like FQ will be tough to beat on race day.

MV swapping luck with MM, haha.

Haha yeah exactly. But let's wait and see tomorrow cuz unlike the MV on 4 wheels, with this MV you'd never know! 😆

Rumor is rife that MV will break his Yamaha contract to move to Aprilia next year! Not surprised actually that Yamaha probably is fed up also with him, overrated. Dovi must be licking his lips for an M1 seat.

Looks like Yamaha had enough with Vinales. Not even dumped to SRT laugh.gif

Yeah looks like the relationship has broken down, probably cuz MV threw his toys out of the pram after an embarrassing dead last in Germany. FQ has wiped the floor with him. Just look at his demeanour after finishing 2nd.

Vinales confirmed leaving Yamaha at the end of the year.

Rossi will go back to factory team, Bezzechi will partner Marini at VR46 Ducati, Hafizh Syahrin gets another shot at MotoGP with Petronas SRT alongside Morbidelli.

Only the first line is true. The rest is for my fun post only hahaha!
*
So MV will go Aprilia, then I think Morbi will take his seat along FQ unless Dovi somehow interferes with that. VR will retire, so Petronas should have 2 vacant seats. So who will get these 2 seats? Bezzechi, Raul, Gardner?

Unlucky for Rea but that should spice up the championship race.

Rare mistake by JR! Looks like we have a surprisingly tighter championship in WSBK than MotoGP! 😆

Crutchlow replaces Morbi on the next 2 races while Pedrosa will make a wild card appearance in Austria.

Morbi has been cleared to join factory Yamaha, replacing MV. So Petronas might have both seats available for next year.
