Yup, before his injuries I was pretty sure he would break all VR's records but now it's quite doubtful. I don't think MM also will stay as long as VR in the competition.

This time MM's vision affected, wish him good luck hopefully can come back next year.

Congratulation to Yamaha, so many riders championship wins in year 2021:
MotoGP, WorldSBK, WorldSSP, British Superbike, MotoAmerica, American Motocross, and 250 Supercross.

Biggest factory winner of single season in the motor sports racing history?

He needs to defend his title at least once more before he can demand MM/VR/JL level salary. He is still a bit weak in wet races too.

Recently Rossi gave interview, said that was Yamaha's electronics tuning weakness ever since they moved to single ECU on 2016

This year Honda and Marc Marquez focusing on Top Speed huh? Been long time never seen Honda on top of the Top Speed chart.

Yamaha wasn't far from the deficit, so I think FQ would be doing well to protect his crown this year.

My money on Ducati GP22 too. Although Bastianini the top Ducati on the GP21 but that was a well developed bike. The GP22 is only a few hundreds of a second and all of them were on used tyres.
*
Haha my money on FQ Quartararo, no top speed but complete package, Yamaha last year won WorldSBK and MotoGP without the fastest bike.

Ducati always fast but can't carry on the consistency to various tracks.

I expected FQ too but after reading all the feedback and comments from riders, seems Ducati has better development after the 2019-2021 freeze. Will get a clearer picture after Mandalika test this weekend.
*
FQ consistently fast on race pace, should be man to beat this season.

Factory Ducati had updated version of last year's engine. Idk if this is gonna affect them in race proper.

The season has begun! Lol
FP1, Suzuki, Honda, and KTM were fast with Ducati surprisingly not so, maybe sandbagging. Peco crashed though hence languishing near the back.

Feel a bit missing of VR, strange feeling.
*
Seems like all Honda boys in Top 10 on Ducati's favorite track was unrealistic huh? Haha

Suzuki and Honda look genuinely fast now but Miller on the Duc was on a real fast run until he roll off for some reason. Yamaha looks a bit behind for now.
*
Just realized Suzuki has the highest Top Speed 355kph and Marquez around that also. Seems no longer Ducati enjoying the clear advantage of Top Speed at Qatar, Ducati riders could be no longer overtaking in the straight.

Ya before the race I thought MM would win cuz he was fast in all FPs and Q. Good that the new guys can beat him.
*
MM seems struggling with the 2022 Honda not custom built to his liking, been many times he said he can't ride at his usual Marquez style, ytd after race said no front feeling etc.

Meanwhile Pol Espargaro enjoyed riding this Honda and declared "Honda is back, not just with Marc, but with me!" Wow, showing dominance to MM huh? Haha.

But MotoGP needs MM cuz he is still the biggest star after VR left. He is still young also and in full fitness still the yardstick for everyone to beat. The young guns in a way should relish the fight against him.

Fabio Quartararo the new successor lar
I think MM had past his peak already due to too many accidents and injuries, he ain't iron man.

Ducati always tend to be "overhyped" before season started, then dropped the balls as season going on. I already fed-up with them...
