Yeah hopefully next year Yamaha will be back to fully challenge Honda & Duc.
Yes of course he is in his twilight but I think his motivation is still very high and he is still pushing as much as he can but just cannot be as fast or as aggressive as during his younger days, which is very normal. The fact that he can still be this competitive at this age is already a testament to his competitive spirit and skill. MM might be the most talented rider for the last decade or so but it's still a long way to go to see if he can still be as motivated and competitive as VR when reaching that similar age.

As usual and expected Vinales dominated the first day test when given better engine. He is on course for domination form next season.

Didn't riders tried to push for earlier starting time? Not sure if that worked out.

Vinales has spoken, he was disappointed to race with others in the group, causing him not able to use his line which produced fast lap, and wasted the rear tyre while trying to overtake others in the group.
He needs the classic "Lorenzo-Yamaha" holeshot and leading all the way from start to the end, don't allow others to interrupt his rhythm, lol. 

So they said Honda got problem, bike can't brake slow down well. MM already mentioned during Qualifying there's something not good and requires further work on. Perhaps the electronic bug that's been troubling Yamaha for years? Lol

from my racer's eye view is...

everyone is under braking + overtaking (including mm infront)

so while jl behind is under braking...he saw that ad is on wider line coming into tighter line crossing infront of him...

he got no choice other than pull the brake harder while going full lean...

that's trigger the fall because tyre overloaded and give way...

from then on he is just passenger and the bike strike ad's ducati...

Nasty crash for Jorge Lorenzo. Are those Honda bikes rideable? It seems he's having crashes every week similar with MM but suffered more severe crash.

Don't get your hopes high. ☺️ I still doubt of MV ability in the race while VR is still lost. FQ is obviously fast but still  unproven. Next race for MotoGP is Sachenring where MM is also practically unbeaten there in the last few years. Finally you need to look at the he closest title challenger for MM which is Dovi and he's also nowhere and looks pessimistic already.
