That's why MM is the champ and will probably replace VR as the GOAT, still able to qualify 4th just less than 2/10ths down immediately after dislocating a shoulder!
*
More falls, surgery, and age may be ending racer's career. As MM getting older the injuries recovery will be harder and longer, unless he's going to Yamaha which lesser prone to those highside.

The real surprise is Vinales taking pole!
Next year the real threat from Yamaha, hihi.

Yeah hopefully next year Yamaha will be back to fully challenge Honda & Duc.

personally for me VR is already in twilight of his career. it’s like he is not pushing anymore in each race. but saying this will get me shoot down by the yellow army..tongue.gif
*
Yes of course he is in his twilight but I think his motivation is still very high and he is still pushing as much as he can but just cannot be as fast or as aggressive as during his younger days, which is very normal. The fact that he can still be this competitive at this age is already a testament to his competitive spirit and skill. MM might be the most talented rider for the last decade or so but it's still a long way to go to see if he can still be as motivated and competitive as VR when reaching that similar age.

Phew so many riders have fallen victim to the torrential rain, but great skill so far by the top 3, Rins, Dovi, & surprisingly (or maybe not) Rossi! Hopefully the rain slows down so we can have a restart.

if MM can maintain his current form, no doubt he will pass Rossi for miles ahead.

MM is just 25, 7 world titles.
VR is 39, 9 world titles.

go figure. smile.gif

Yup if he stays healthy/without permanent injury, he should be breaking all records within the next few years. I don't doubt that but he might quit much sooner or loose his motivation much earlier than VR, that's what I meant. The fact that VR is still this competitive at this age is also incredible and very rare. See this year, he still managed to finish ahead of MV in the standings with only MM and Dovi ahead of him.

Great wet riding by Dovi, and even VR finally succumb and fell down too like the rest.

Kinda surprised pirro managed to finish higher than lorenzo (he's bad on wet conditions anyway). Not sure if I should be excited with the prospect of petrucci going to factory ducati (still thinking miller or someone else, probably bautista is more deserving judging on performances).

As usual and expected Vinales dominated the first day test when given better engine. He is on course for domination form next season.

MM? Wait lar the year after next for Lorenzo's input to fix their bike issue. Using 2015 chassis to compete in year 2019? Lol

Hahaha I doubt Honda will easily follow JL's input when MM is still around and able to win.

Comments online kinda make fun of the livery. I admit could've been better, too much black in my opinion. And did they choose McPhee so that his number matches Sasaki? doh.gif

Dukahati using Panigale R which is V4 version right? So far behind hopeless for them revive the glory days. More hp and higher rev also cannot keep up with old Kawasaki.
