Actually saw some comments he's a bit gila gila type, throughout the years Honda crew tries very hard not to motivates him, but to calm him down. They said he's like wild animal and need taming. Lol
*
there is reason why his mascot is red-ant

QUOTE
THE MARC MÁRQUEZ MASCOT: THE ANT
When Marc Márquez started to race in the CEV he weighed so little that his bike had to be weighted with 21 kg to reach the required minimum weight. A problem that was repeated in his first year of the world championship, this time with 16 kg of lead spread over his 125 cc. That meant that little Marc had to control a bike that weighed more than double him, the reason why his team began to compare him to an ant, an animal that is so small but at the same time so strong that it can lift 100 times its weight.

In addition to its strength, Marc also shared a great capacity for sacrifice, perseverance and team work with this insect. Due to all these similarities, in 2012 he decided to pick the ant as his mascot. Since then, the ant’s image on his helmet reminds him that hard work is the only way to win every time he goes out on the track.

he will do anything even called crazy to be on top of podium...

so the team have to calm him down, play smart...and collect valuable point instead of "chasing #1 podium step every race or crash attitude"

is good...

and u can see he is very much loved back at hometown by everyone even street grandma.. abit like down to earth kid..playfull...

I don't think engine configuration is the problem, Yamaha still won championships with inline-4. It's just Ducati & Honda progressed far ahead (in electronics) & Yamaha were left behind. Only recently they hired someone from Magneti Marelli solve the problems (Ducati, Honda & probably Suzuki already hired the best MM technician ages ago).

Changing to V4 isn't the solution either. V4 is just fast on the straights but inline-4 still have the best handling (Yamaha used to be this but now Suzuki has overtaken them in bike development). Both have their own pros & cons.
*
actually i still think is engine config...

u remember yamaha boasting about crossplane crankshaft setup...

and see yamaha R1 roadbike using the same setup...

the good side is they have loads of toque at midrange rpm..pretty much like ducati roadbike vtwin advantage (and disadvantage with lower high rpm peak power a.k.a topspeed) and that was yamaha stength in corner back then...

and when motogp switch tyre to diff manufacturer (and different compount) then their performance falls flat...

that massive torque backfire them eating tyre edge like no tomorrow...

suzuki use flatplane crankshaft...so their performance is more average...

last year i think they still can drafting honda at some occasion... but this year....duc and honda runaway brows.gif brows.gif brows.gif

Difficult to say if Honda is the best bike coz the other Honda riders did poorly, so the bike was just tailored to MM. This year's championship is all about MM domination, so other aspects don't seem to matter.
*
i would say yamaha is the best bike....(or atleast is moving in right direction) after getting those software engineer to fully utilize the Magnetti Marelli ECU function in cornering traction...

atleast in last 6round of GP can hear their bike have different tone accelerating out of corners (indicating traction control at work)

but the best rider would be mm93 none than other...

and to see the stubborn ktm went with different chassis AFTER jz5 walked away from the team...is just sad...but sometime sacrifice need to be done for them to learnt the lesson... mega_shok.gif

and pity to abraham sacked just like that... i was kind of expecting that tito rabat to be shoved away...

Most improved bike is Yamaha towards end of season.

Honda not so good this year except in the hands of MM. He basically won all it all for Honda.

Ducati seems stagnant, neither here nor there.

Suzuki has the most potential, almost there but not quite.

Aprilia sometimes good, sometimes bad, not great.

KTM basically same as Honda, Pol took all the glory.

I cannot really comment on riders as some had different spec bikes, some injury, some pure bad luck but clearly most disappointing is Lorenzo. I remember he broke his leg at Yamaha but returned within a few races despite doctors advise and did well, so year-long injury recovery is kind of ....
*
as for lorenzo....if he broke at other place than spine/vertebrae... i would confirm say he definately continue and mastering the honda....

as he comments earlier he was having difficulty on the honda.... but then when he just saw the light at end of the tunnel... then there is 1 big crash... then..another crash that broke his back...

im pretty sure he have been thinking to not ended up in wheelchair like Wayne Rainey....and probably he fedup of crashing anyway....

remember when he in rookie year at motogp class....he crash alot... quite alot like marquez several years before...
