Damok was announced to join as a wildcard back in August
https://<link removed>/2022/08/17/damok-confir...y-this-october/

Meanwhile, for Petronas Mie, it took them a while due to Azroy, Kasma and KIP all riding for different teams and sponsorship in Malaysia Cub Prix/Asia Road Racing.

But yeah, Razlan knew what locals wants, and he is faster at doing stuffs. But I also would put the blame on Petronas themselves for not promoting it better

Also
Nobody mentioned this but Damok is joining Moto3 full time next season

Announcing once isn't enough, should at least generate more buzz especially closer to the race. Congrats to him, he did well too. Hope he does well next year.

Its no wonder Mandalika much better than Sepang laugh.gif laugh.gif

No brainer coz they got manufacturer support. "Semakin di depan" and Satu Hati" isn't BM but actually Bahasa Indonesia.

Bagnaia or Quartararo? Place your bet.
*
Bagnaia of course, his to lose. Qualifying wasn't as tense as expected. Bagnaia took it easy, not aiming to be on pole just good enough to be in Q2. I think he will be fighting just to be 14th rather all out glory. Quartararo on the other hand does not have much choice but the win. More interesting is will Marquez take the win?or Miller or Martin? Those 3 have nothing to lose. Also fight for 3rd place still up for grabs, not much in bragging rights but there's probably a significant cash bonus there.

I remember last time don't know which Ducati riders said Ducati bike need to ride it hard like you stole it from showroom, else the tyre not up to optimum temperature, become crasher pula. Not sure Lorenzo or Stoner said that.

Maybe this race will have mapping 8 recommendation to other ducati riders again? Haha
*
That was different era Ducati, the current one more rider friendly.

Congrats new champion Bagnaia, this year Ducati winning MotoGP and coming WorldSBK, maybe Panigale sales will boost and launch special model? Lol
*
Last year Yamaha won both, this year most likely Ducati win both. Championship celebrations overshadow everything that happened in the race. Pecco said the front end felt strange and difficult to control, he probably didn't know he lost his winglet.

Last year Yamaha won, they said Toprak and Quartararo best rider on underpowered bike.
This year Ducati wins, many said Ducati best bike, rocket engine. Especially on WorldSBK keep seeing the same comments Bautista only need to overtakes on straight with rocket engine, lol
*
I think WSBK is different game altogether, the top 3 are practically aliens being stuck together at every race. True that the Ducati is fast on the straights but the difference not that much. Other Ducatis can't match AB's speed. Even his teammate said Bautista (as a rider) makes the difference.

Remy Gardner adoi laugh.gif

Sons can never shine like their father hahahaha rclxub.gif

Schumacher, Senna, Piquet, Palmer hohohoho

Only son we must watch is the Brabham family

Max Verstappen has achieved better than his father, lol
*
Jacques Villeneuve, Damon Hill.

It was a surprise that both 2021 Moto2 Champion and runner up struggled a lot this year, probably because both rookies in the same team and no experienced team leader to give guidance. Next year Augusto Fernandez will be interesting to watch. He's already won the 2023 Rookie of the year award laugh.gif

I’m also interested to see how Pedro Acosta will do next year in Moto 2 again. Rookie season already 5th. If he can win the championship in 2023, he really will be one to watch in the years after that
*
So many good riders in Moto2 next year, hard to predict.

So far Tuesday test positive as laptimes form 1st to last is less than 2 secs compared to last year but it's only the first test.

Let them off season while we enjoy our world cup

Unfortunately I only follow motorsports lol. Next few months will be off season for me too.

Btw, interesting that Rossi declined Ducati test. Probably like smoking, he needs to quit cold turkey, once he ride again the addiction will bite again hahaha.

We need more good South East Asian talents in the championship to balance out the Spanish and Italian armada.

Will only happen when/if they're willing to move overseas at early age. If they only move to overseas after finishing secondary schools... good luck trying to grab a ride against those mat salleh kids.

This is true, only open-minded parents are willing to do that although nowadays a lot of kids are home-schooled especially since the pandemic. I'd also like to see other nationalities like South Korean, Chinese, Middle Eastern kids to be in the Championship. It was unfathomable to see Turkish riders(that's very successful) years ago but Kenan Sofuglu paved the way.

Not gonna happen

We are not a racing country 2 begin with

The only talent pool that can lead the way is Indonesia being the big bro in south east asia

Even Americans also retired from racing after Kevin Scwantz took 1 4 the team laugh.gif laugh.gif

Lucky Roberts Junior and lucky Nicky i still wont consider it as the glorious American era unlike prime Rainey vs prime Scwantz

Just hope the 3rd Roberts Joe can make America proud again in 2 wheels just like old times rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

We got a lot of street racers( rolleyes.gif ). One of the main reason is willingness to relocate and being away from home for long periods of time. Cameron Beaubier in Moto2 will quit end of this year because he is homesick. I believe there are exceptions out there, only need to pick them out. The mentality will also need to be groomed from very young.

If Ferrari won F1 Championship, it would be Triple Reds in F1, MotoGP and WSBK.

Should be, I hope so too. BTW F1 has some changes in the commentators, no more Johnny Herbert and Paul Di Resta, unfortunately Martin Brundle still there. tongue.gif

WSBK just started last weekend. Looks like Ducati clean sweep both in Superbike and Supersport 600. Kinda disappointed with Petronas-MIE performance. Both Hondas playing at the back. I think their Honda is a different package than the factory bikes. They don't even seem to share the same data.
