Despite the delay, pretty good race. What a shame for Mooney VR46. FQ said LM10 was the guy to watch out for coz he was super fast. Too bad he crashed.Come to think of it, I don't recall ever seeing him crash in any of the races.

I new FQ wasn't that good in the rain but this was way off what I expected. Silver lining is that it's good for the championship, AE41 still has a chance. Hopefully Sepang has some rain too to make it a close final round.

Sepang race will most likely be a wet race.

Ya but hopefully not torrential.

Looking at the last 4 or 5 races
I have a strong feeling that Bagnaia will over take FQ and take the championship.  Provided Bagnaia no mistakes.  Lol.
*
Like MM93 said, he bets on FB63's bike. I am only worried that others will make mistakes and take FB63 down. The other Ducatis are coming on strong too especially Miller.

Another great talent gone.

This was the reason for the delay in WSBK race 1.

Jorge Martin becoming a sore loser for not getting the factory ride along Pecco next year.

Like I said earlier, all these things will probably make FB lose the championship with everyone wanting to prove something on the (currently) best bike on the grid. Enea wants to prove he is the best guy, Jorge wants to prove he is better than Enea, Zarco quietly wants to prove he is the faster rider but just being careful in the last race. Not to mention the rest of the Ducati squad.

Hi guys, First time going there, exciting!

Could you pin me the exact redemption point at SIC to process the QR code I've received?
Then what do they provide at the entrance?  A lanyard with a pass?
Also, I'm going on Friday too, can redeem it already, right?
Thanks and see you there ☺️

The last time I went was with physical tickets so no idea.

What has this guy done to deserve a corner named after him???

Wedding present laugh.gif .

FP3 was quite surprising, Marini was in the bottom 4 in FP1 & FP2 suddenly shot up to P2 in FP3. Zarco lead Friday practice but had to go thru Q1.

Miller mathematically still in title contention too and has mentioned he just wants to race, probably also pissed off Duc doesn't extend him, so he also has no reason to help FB.

Anyway FB himself is adamant he wants no help but to win it purely on his own merit. But if he loses the title by just very few pints, Duc will be kicking themselves for not enforcing team orders, and everyone will say they're stupid.
*
Yeah, the only Duc rider that will help is probably his VR6 Academy buddies in Marini and Bez.

JM did a great lap for pole, MM piggy back to get 2nd ahead of FB but FQ not too far in 5th so hope for an exciting race between those 2 title contenders, plus AE right in between too.
*
The 3 contenders line up 3,4,5 so hope to see great fight between the 3.

In WSBK news though, so sad to hear Steeman's mom pass away 2 days after he died.

That was an amazing race. Despite not one of my favourite tracks, that was close racing. Heartbreak for Miller but glory for Rins, Championship closer, down to 4.

Ya exciting race but unfortunately FQ crashed out and AE cannot keep up. In the last few laps I was actually hoping FB to make a big mistake too so that the points tighter. Lol  From now on 2 more races, it's FB title to lose. FQ is like dejavu of the 2020 season, leading for so long until things fell apart. We kept saying FB won't win cuz he is still making too many mistakes yet now it's FQ turn to make mistakes! Lol

What a irony for JM taken out at his corner! Lol Maybe reminder to him that he actually doesn't deserve that corner name! Lol

Finally glad for Suzuki to have a win in the final season, what a superb race by AR. Strong race by MM too, hope he keeps getting closer to his best.
*
Yeah, Suzuki boys really deserve it. Was hoping VR46 boys to be both on the podium and AE to be ahead of FB. I thought Mir was among the top but after the mistake finished way down and couldn't recover. Marini was fast in clear air but once he got behind someone difficult for him to overtake. Sepang definitely Ducati advantage track with the 2 long straights. Top 7 was less than a second iinm.

Didn't watch, but seldom Yamaha riders or Quartararo crashes, pressure too much huh?

QUOTE(6UE5T @ Oct 16 2022, 01:36 PM)
Maybe. He was not far back, maybe still between 5th-7th when he made mistake then run wide. He then joint back in 19th, able to get to 15 or something then crashed.
*
3 races without points. Last person to lose the championship late in the season was Rossi.

Quite dramatic FP3. Seemed like Morbidelli impeded Bagnaia & co for rideing slowly but after watching replays looks like FQ was the one ahead of him going slowly that's why he was slow. We see what the investigation results are.

EB must toying with the emotions of the Ducati bosses! Lol Staying that close and even overtaking the lead at mid race must be raising the blood pressures of those Ducs mgmt thru the roof! But kudos to FB to just get on and win it. Now only a major blunder will prevent him and Duc to finally win the title with the biggest comeback in history.
*
Very nerve-wracking race! I kept thinking if EB made a blunder surely they would drop him next year despite a signed contract. He should think long term and just stayed behind throughout and beat FB for the championship next year since he definitely can't win it this year. But that is probably just typical Italian fire

Next year is another start, it's never easy to predict which bike would be dominate, remember Ducati's sudden slumped in form during 2019 when everyone predicted Dovi would've won after MM's big injury?
*
QUOTE(6UE5T @ Oct 24 2022, 01:05 AM)
Hahaha yeah he was close to a blunder like 2-3 times but maybe to him still reasonably under control and not as risky as we spectators see. I think he behaved like that because it was for a win, otherwise maybe he wouldn't challenge as hard. Next year we might see fireworks between them.
But this year the Ducs advantage seems much larger and they have more in numbers too. The fact that FB can claw back 91pts and on the brink of maiden title shows how dominant the Duc is in the last 2/3rd of this year. Note that he crashed a few times too, otherwise he would have won the title 1 or 2 races ago! Ducs during Dovi's time was never this dominant.
*
Unlike this year's(and last couple of years)where bike gets better towards the 2nd half, previously it got worse towards the end. I got the feeling that Marini might have an advantage next year( the first half at least) as he is on the same bike, which will be fully developed and very familiar bike to him. The other 4 factory 2023 bikes will be like this year with some bugs needed to be sorted. The other 3 on 2022 bikes will be familiarizing with it.

Thank you Selangor Govt for jacking up the ticket price for this year. At least there are only 20K people less this year compared to 2019 when Rossi was still around and the price was more reasonable
*
I think few reasons also, obviously because of the price hike for one. It's also Deepavali holiday so most would probably prefer to go on holiday/balik kampung. Another is lack of marketing and promos. I didn't know we had wildcards until Friday practice. They should have promoted our wildcards to garner support, we had 3 wildcards, 1 in Moto3 but especially in Moto2 there was a wildcard team even. There were even contests to win tickets last time on the radio but no mention at all this time. Razlan was probably better at managing Sepang compared to the current boss.
