Purchased the iPhone 7 already - at Direct D along the Federal Highway... Somehow they managed to get stock of the 7 before everyone else, not bad! rclxms.gif

what model did you get and how much ? usually directD selling more expensive as they are the 1st to get the iphone
*
Well, mine was the 128GB Gold and I bought it for $4,099.00 (in MYR ya, I always use the dollar sign when typing monetary amounts)... Isn't that the standard RRP, by the way? laugh.gif

Quite surprised that Direct D managed to get the iPhone 7 ahead of everyone else though... I also never knew about this until one of the staff at an iPhone repairer mentioned about them, when chatting with him while getting a phone repaired! rclxms.gif

Jet Black iPhone 7 = paying a bomb for something that is of a glossy color which is also a smudge magnet! blink.gif

Which is why I went for the gold version instead... You get the same thing at a lower price, but still with that sharp camera, "touch-less" Home button, super-quick processor, and stereo speakers! rclxms.gif

With regards to battery, I have never done any full charge since using the iPhone 7 when I got it a few days ago... I remember reading some posts about it being not a good thing to do this too often, as it will bring down the battery life in the long run.

As such, is it better to charge the phone at short intervals during the day? I usually have it connected to the cable when driving or in the office, by the way.

No luck in getting iphone 7 plus at RM4049 anymore.. Guess I have to wait for the official launching price T_T
*
Wow, that's the price I paid for an iPhone 7 at Direct D... That's a good deal, amazing! rclxms.gif

Still, better than not getting the phone while it's already available (and the iPhone 6 is also aging at the same time)... Good thing that MBB also has 24 months installment, because from my history with the iPhone 6, that's roughly the time I expect to use the 7 before changing it again! laugh.gif

You paid rm4k+ at DirectD for iphone 7 whereas on Gemfive that price is for Iphone 7 plus 128 gb. I also miss the boat although it is already in my cart. No rezeki I guessed.

Seems like the price of the similar iPhone 7 Gold model in Gemfive is MYR4,199.00? A hundred dollars more expensive than Direct D and without the means to pay via installment, which means I'm lucky I got it earlier then... rclxms.gif

Dunno whether Direct D still has stock or not, for those of you interested in getting the iPhone 7 before its official Malaysian launch? biggrin.gif

It can be heard while playback on phone but not on the Mac. I read Apple is willing to replace such defective units. There are reports is due to some chip problem but Apple had not yet gave an official reason. Is unlikely software issue

Hmmm, haven't really tried using the Video camera but I'll try it in a quiet area later (likely to be the bathroom in the office)... And see if the hissing sound is very obvious or there is nothing at all! rclxms.gif

Anyone of you are just like me and went for the Gold iPhone 7? I preferred black actually but just because of the color, I had to pay more and didn't want to do that - so I went for the model with the same color as my previous iPhone 6! laugh.gif

But enough of seeing gold color for now, which is why I bought this Spigen Rugged Armor casing - it's black and at least I have something similar to the original iPhone 7 color that I liked... rclxms.gif

Wish to have gold color also. But because of the new color I went for black, but now regret.
You order via pre order also?

Mine was a store purchase from Direct D, or more specifically, their "Gadget Mega Store" located along the Federal Highway... It's a Hong Kong set, if I'm not mistaken, which explains why they can get it in September! rclxms.gif

digi give us stupid plan rm148 for what...

my plan for 2 line now only 38+50+48 = RM136 (12 gb share data, unlimited call 2 lines)

always better buy the phone outright...

Yup, and that's where Maybank cardholders have an advantage - I bought the iPhone 7 from DirectD and even if the usual credit charges have to be bundled into the price, I ended up only paying around $150.00 / month for this phone on a 24-month installment plan... And from my past phone usage, I also tend to change the incumbent model for a newer one after two years (the iPhone 6 is the best example, bought in December 2014 and finally replaced by the 7 last month)! rclxms.gif

I bet that on October 14, due to the reasons that Glithoniel said, we won't see the iPhone 7 flying off the shelves unlike the previous models (unless if you're a user of, say, the iPhone 4 or 5, which means the 7 is definitely a BIG jump for you)... I may be wrong though! rolleyes.gif

all complaint jet black easy to scratch but end up mostly purchase it  laugh.gif

Because it's definitely stylish and of a different color from ANY iPhone previously... But yeah, the fact that it's both a fingerprint and scratch magnet (as well as hefty price) stopped me from purchasing that model! sad.gif

Any suggestions? iPhone 6s Plus or 7 plus?

If budget's not an issue, go for the 7 Plus... Mainly because of the dual-lens camera, faster processor, and hopefully more efficient battery power! rclxms.gif
