Not sure if someone posted this already, but Apple actually raised the price of the Plus models by US$20. Previously, 4.7" models started at US$649 and Plus models started at US$749, but now they start at US$769.

Good luck saving up in our worth-less-than-toilet-paper ringgit. tongue.gif

So anyone here actually believe digital Lightning jack will give you better audio experience than 3.5mm analogue jack?
*
It depends. Those budget lightning headphones that will be coming out will probably be just as budget sounding as they always were. Best case scenario is using some DSP to make up for the deficiencies in the transducer*. Obviously if you plug your iPhone to a more expensive DAC/amp unit, the performance will improve if paired with decent headphones. Audiophiles have been doing that long before Apple decided to remove the 3.5mm jack anyway.

At the end of the day, it's all about the DAC and headphone amplification circuitry being used. Whether it's 3.5mm or lightning - that's only the transport method, and there will always be an analog section available in any setup, because audio always needs to be converted to analog in order for us to hear it. The human ear cannot hear in digital.

*Funnily enough, even some of the expensive lightning headphones seem to be doing this. The Audeze SINE for example; it sounds better with the Lightning Cypher cable plugged into an iPhone even when compared to the standard analog cable plugged into a US$1000+ DAC/Amp unit, which means the driver inside the headphones is not that great and there's some DSP being used in the Cypher cable's circuitry to EQ the sound.

guys is there any way to avoid phone jet black from easily scratched? (plastic protector / soft case?)
*
Just remember that the housing this year "wraps" itself along the sides of the camera lens, which means that part of the metal will be exposed with most case camera cutouts. My friend in SG said his Jet Black which was in a case from day one already has mini scratches along the sides of the camera - he suspects little fibers doing the scratching each time he takes the phone in/out of his jeans pockets. I noticed the new Caudabe cases wrap around the camera edges, so you might want to take a look at the pictures and use that as a basis when shopping for cases.

We're lower down the pecking order than Isle of Man... which I've never heard of before... I wonder if there is an Isle of Wo-man...

The Isle of Man hosts the TT, which by all accounts is the greatest motorsport race in history. The event involves major balls (just search youtube), and has been going on longer than Malaysia has existed as an independent country. It's also a beautiful place to live/visit. I'd say Manxmen (that's what you call the locals) should be angry at Apple for being lower down the pecking order.
