QUOTE(Avangelice @ Sep 22 2016, 03:53 PM) you got an aggressive portfolio there. 75% equity 25% balanced fund. you have more room to diversify your investment especially buying funds investing in US and Europe. yours is Asia centric. so no need to rebalanced unless... you need to answer these questions. Hey thanks for the info. How long did you invest in this portfolio? do you have the appetite to higher higher risk? what is your investment goals? do you want to play it safer? I got misled by the name, item 2 ".... global emerging market". Apparently it is still primarily Asian focus ? Any example of US & Europe based funds ? |

QUOTE(Avangelice @ Sep 22 2016, 09:14 PM) this fund is a broad spectrum fund that invests in international emerging markets. I am not saying this is bad though. check the prospectus buddy. For this moment I am not convinced that TA Europe, Global Titans and Ta global are better than Eastspring Inv Global Emerging Market.oh to answer your question you can look into TA Europe, Global titans fund, ta global |

QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Sep 23 2016, 10:39 AM) 1stly, charts like these mean nothing if not read in the context of economic conditions affecting the underlying markets. Sorry. East spring inv emerging market is a Gems fund ? I must have missed something big. I need to revise my investment.2ndly, this is just a 1 year chart. 3rdly, 1 is a GEMs fund 1 is focused exclusively to tech stocks 1 is focused exclusively to Europe 1 is focused exclusively to US, Europe and Japan This is like comparing apple from gerai Muthusamy, banana from gerai Usain Bolt, pineapple from gerai Ali and papaya from gerai Pamela. 4 different fruits, compare what? Eat apple during apple season, sure sedap Eat banana during broken banana Eat papaya when it's just nice, of course sedap Eat pineapple when u have sore mouth ulcer, u mad? |

QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Sep 23 2016, 11:30 AM) Bro, it's understandable for most investors to not read the bulky prospectus from page 1 til the end (though it's not the right thing to do), but at the very least read the monthly fact sheets occasionally and briefly glance through the crucial parts of the prospectus prior to investing. No. I misunderstood. GEMs as in global emerging market as OK for me but not Gems as in gemstone etc. |

QUOTE(yklooi @ Sep 29 2016, 10:21 AM) It is much better than mine....just go with it for 3 yrs.....it between now and then...if u dun like it...just tweak abit....there is no fix rules....ea persons needs n priority in investing mvay chage overtime..... Words of wisdom here, as it seems recently every fund is a good fund, just about when I feel I want to move out from KGF, it goes up and that makes the RHB Asian Income the least performing fund.there was tis quote...It is not how much 1 can make in a good period but how much the portfolio can stay intack during the bad time that is the key..... ... |
