As a gamer, a curved wide screen will add to the emersion experience when gaming. The whole purpose of considering a wide screen with 34" (or bigger) is supposed to allow people to get away from having to do double or triple monitor setups.

Back to the question on resolution, any monitor under 30" is still good for 1080p as the output won't appear too pixelated, which becomes quite apparent at 34" as with the case of the Acer Z35 or BenQ XR3501. At these sizes, you would be better off going for 1440p monitors such as the Acer X34 or for the bangsawan, Asus PG348Q. However, the issue at these higher resolutions will be your GPU, will it be powah-ful enough to drive the monitors. Reducing the graphics settings at this high resolutions could compensate but then, what's the point in this? We all want to have our gaming experience with ultra settings, no? Be prepared to shell out for a decent GTX1070 or even a GTX1080. For some, an Nvidia Titan X Pascal is the only option! Sorry, it is obvious that I am a Team Green supporter.

Do note however that not all games may support the wide screen format. This will be especially apparent in the case of older game titles. So, be prepared to see black bars by the sides if playing full screen. To overcome these situations, run the game in windowed mode.
