Haha let me reflect back my conviction 2 daddy in buying the note 5 last year when he was so determined 2 wait another year 4 the note 7 and thks goodness it paid off bcuz i wont be here posting anymore with that exploded note 7
QUOTE(mirzan007 @ Sep 15 2016, 12:49 PM) Update: Either take iphone 7 plus since note 7 is certified hand bomb or wait 4 the note 8 next year Technical call mobo rosak... to change new need 1.2k ... my head boiled, occasionally raised my voice getting emotional but i know they can't help much .. they help me out by directing me to samsung care-line and I politely made my complaint ... 5 days after warranty finish would not be fair for me... that amount might as well buy a new hp .. after using galaxy S, S3, Note 2, and now have 2 Note 5... suprisingly all still working except for this note 5.. one thing for sure customer service and technical ppl very helpful.. now is up to HQ to review my complaint and request.. Maybe its time to look beyond samsung.. Hard to say goodbye to S pen |

QUOTE(nokia6280 @ Oct 13 2016, 07:36 AM) QUOTE(Max2006 @ Oct 13 2016, 12:18 PM) Samsung said to kill off Note brand Plan 2 swap note 5 from note 4 when my contract finally ends in 1 month http://www.phonearena.com/news/Samsung-to-...e-brand_id86498 So to my Note 5 comrades, make sure you won't sell off or trade in your Note 5, because it will become a precious item once the Note brand is ended. To be honest, the recent Note 7 fiasco is a tragedy, but it makes me appreciate more on my Note 5. Anyone have the same feeling like me? |

QUOTE(azhar75 @ Oct 26 2016, 11:33 PM) They do effect energy consumption tremendously... you can test this... you just leave your phone inside metal enclosure like safety box or even microwave oven... after like 1 hour, the phone will be "quite" warm becoz of poor signal reception... haha niceThe easiest way is to wrap the phone with aluminum foil... the Note5 will be "cooked" after 1 hour plus the battery will deplete like crazy... Science is fun, ain't it...? |

QUOTE(azhar75 @ Oct 28 2016, 09:16 PM) True... I don't have those "pesky" apps in my device... Bro, you HR manager or business owner? So terrer pakai linkedin. The "social" apps I have are LinkedIn, WhatsApp and GBWhatsApp. But, do take note that my device is constantly connecting to my Sony Smartband Talk which requires both Bluetooth and Location services/modules to be active constantly. Hence, I'd say it is well above average to have SOT above 3 hrs constantly with all data, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Location active all the time... usually when idle/standby, those Location services will eat-up the battery "quietly"... So, turn off Location is you don't navi/fitness tracking... If navi and gaming for 1 hour each, definitely no way can get above 3 hours (say, brightness set to 50%....) Geekbench synthetic benchmark is my ultimate guide when referring to energy consumption. Before I decide to purchase any smart devices, I use geekbench results. Note5 - N9208 [attachmentid=7897453] Example above, on average, Note 5 N9208 roughly gets 8 hours SOT (don't care what apps or services is running....). But, in reality, based on "MY DAILY USAGE", I get around 4 hours SOT. That's half of geekbench statistics. So, if I try to upgrade to other devices, if its Geekbench result averaged at 10 hours, I'd most probably will get 5 hours SOT with that device... again this is not scientific enough but at least I have "basic" idea how that new device should perform with the same daily usage in my Note 5 right now. So far, my theory is proven to be "acceptable" for ALL devices that I have used...that's one of the purpose of "Benchmark"...it's a "general non-scientific guide".... Note 7 (if still alive in the grave...) [attachmentid=7897522] I can get 5.5 hours with Note 7, which is way better than Note 5.... Pixel XL [attachmentid=7897458] In Pixel XL, with the same usage pattern in current Note 5, I'd most probably get "around" 4.5 hours... But yeah... I'm still waiting for more stats in the Pixels series... Then, I can decide whether to get 5" Pixel or 5.5" XL variant...Furthermore, Pixel "Dynamic Duo" is only Single-SIM device. Hence, the 4.5 hours will definitely be 4.5+++ hours altogether... » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I still looking 4 linkedin sifu because i planning 2 hire some helper 4 my future own boss setup next year and i have heard a lot of MNC are using this platform hiring. QUOTE(azbro @ Nov 2 2016, 12:53 AM) thanks, now I know oledi what happened and how the camera can be so sensitive. Haha interesting mainly it might be due to humidity or Condensation, that will create a the thin film of oil on the lens to be visible (to the camera) and make the photo whitish. Anyone having this problem (probably you have sweaty hands like me), or use coatings on your phone. Before take Picture just clean the Lens up. You can't see the oil, but it's there. I never had problem with Iphones, guess Note5 camera quite sensitive to this. white tint [attachmentid=7926237] now ok, after cleaning lens [attachmentid=7926245] tomorrow I do more testing. |

QUOTE(kmrdeva @ Dec 31 2016, 11:18 AM) I own 2 aukey products - a 20k mAh power bank which supports quick charge and a 10 port USB charger dock which has 2 quick charge ports. Both are solid products, high quality build and not overly expensive. Below is a link to their 10k mAh powerbank. http://www.lazada.com.my/aukey-qualcomm-qu...nk-8072020.html QUOTE(azhar75 @ Dec 31 2016, 12:36 PM) I dunno... Based on the vix below, it does... Haha aukey fanboy here. I also have 1 myself. [attachmentid=8335319] You better get the Aukey to be on the safe side. I also have Aukey 10K last year. Support QC2.0 too. But the retained capacity is getting lesser and lesser after 12 months... Pretty normal for any powerbanks... The Xiaomi Pro version has 93% conversation rate : Mi Malaysia link |

QUOTE(Spawny @ Jan 29 2017, 12:32 PM) I would pretty much agree with your statement but the only reason why I complaining is because my note 4 before this has way much better battery life even when it was a year old. I don't play games or install many apps, but only getting 2 hours plus SOT by just using FB and browsing the web is something I could not accept. Guess i would need to change the battery cause wanna pass this phone to my parents in the future. i hope note 8 will have open able casing 2 swap battery easily thks goodness i took note 4 not note 5 hahahaha |
