i think its regarding some fees but i dont understand it very well.

the link to the change is here: LINK

It doesn't.

It affects sellers who accept paypal $$$

We are not charged by it unless seller ask us to pay for the differences too.

Hey all,

I have a question. Recently I have started buying some things from Ebay and I paid with Credit Card (still has to go through Paypal).

However, I notice one thing, after the currency exchange...

Let's say it costs me about RM8. My credit card statement shows that it deducts RM8 (which is correct). However, upon checking my credit card balance, it deducts about RM12 instead, which is RM4 more.

I could check my credit card balance as I am using the BIG Card, prepaid credit card, easier for me to track the money.

This is not the first time I am experiencing this. I bought around 3 items and each of them deduct about RM4 - RM5 more than the price charged to me. Yet my statement only shows the RM8 instead of the RM12, all the extra charges are not shown.

I checked with BIG Card and they said it's unposted amount, but I don't think they get my point as if it's unposted amount, they should be credited back to me again right?

Has anyone experienced this? Is this some hidden charges from the Paypal?

Thanks for your advice and help, anyone.

So far no hidden charge from me paying using RHB debit card tru paypal. I think you need to check with your credit card service.

I've just opened a Malaysian Business Paypal account. My sales are in USD, and I have an HSBC USD account in Malaysia. When I went to add the account, the notice was 'must be able to accept Malaysian R'. Has anybody tried to link a USD Malaysian account to Paypal? I pay my suppliers in USD, so I have very little need to make costly conversions.

If I can't link my USD Malaysia account to Paypal, how else can I get the money out in USD? It's generally over $10,000US per month so the conversions make a big difference..... Thanks!
