hi, i wanna ask something. i just subscribed to digi simple mastercard;have added funds into the card and would like to add the card to my paypal. i tried to add 'credit card/debit card' but returned with an error. should i add it under bank account instead? anybody with this experience?

yes, you need to add your card (debit or credit) under your bank account. also make sure your paypal username same as in your bank account. for example if your bank account name is David Anderson then your paypal name must be same as in your bank account. otherwise your cannot withdraw fund that paid into your paypal account to your bank account. I've this experience too, first time when sign-up with paypal I use a nick name, then linked my card & my bank account. when someone from overseas buying & pay my item via paypal, one day when I try to withdraw the payment into my bank account, it cannot complete the task, instead returned with an error. then I report this problem to the paypal customer service center, and then in 2 days, they've called me, asking if anything they could help to fix this problem. with details explanation, finally I know it caused by my username that I signed in.

Is it possible to link CIMB basic savings account to paypal and buy things online? I would like to know more about this.

i believe you are trying to ask, HOw to reload your debit card....
you don't send money to your debit card from paypal, you have to reload it from the respective bank account first =)

Is the card activated for online usage? i've not used that card before, maybe you can check with digi first?

you can send email to paypal, they can assist you to change your name on account provided that the name changes is not too significant.

to be frank.. i don't recommend linking bank accounts =X

Could you please elaborate more? Right now I only have a savings account. So if I would like to use paypal, I will need to apply for a debit card? I have limited knowledge on this so please provide more info. Thank you very much.

well.. imagine if you have 1k in your savings and your paypal got hacked... what happens next ? =)

i've been using PB visa electron since 2001, both debit card and savings account are not linked. so i only reload when i need to use it.
i mainly use this card for online purchase only. even if my paypal is hacked or my card is stolen.. i won't have the risk of my bank savings being flushed out.

unlike certain debit card is linked straight into savings account, that's not very safe.

I need to transfer money to someone in HKD as the person only accepts HKD. But how do I top up the paypal with HKD? Can I top up it with USD and click the pay button she sent me which requires me to pay in HKD?

Your account was registered before or after Paypal reopened their services for Malaysia?
I'm not too sure about you but my Primary Currency is MYR. I have a debit card linked to it.
When I paid seller in HKD, i just paid via Paypal, and choose payment option to have my bank determine the conversion rate.
so yes.. you can still pay the recipient in HKD

i've never reloaded my paypal before although i've been using it since early 2000
i only use paypal as a medium of payment and it deducted directly from my debit card. =)

Was trying to add a new delivery address, but it wont let me add address outside of Malaysia. Eg, i typed hse number 123, abc street, western australia, australia and i clicked save it will appear as hse number 123, abc street, western Australia MALAYSIA when i didnt even type malaysia.
