My z3 has much better speaker than xz(one reason i flashed a nice mod).
The mod developer admit that xz has downgraded sound quality. (worse speaker and using Qualcomm driver, while z3 using external tfa(amplifier))
I had the Z5 Premium, not sure how does the Z5 compare with that. But comparing the XZ with the Z5P, XZ has better mid/bass, but lacks the highs compared to the Z5P. Z5P is missing all the bass and most of the mid, with mostly highs being audible (and louder too).
I found my XZ to be pretty good, better than the Z3+ as well, but definitely lacking in volume and bass/mid when compared to the Z3. I'll compare it with my Z2 tonight when I'm home.
Z3 is still the king imo, the best balance of volume and tone balance (and front firing) in recent years. Best Sony speakers I've experienced so far comes from the X10 Mini... (Surprisingly, that thing has awesome volume and good tone balance!)

Oh... What's the speed of charging using quick charger? I just try the quick charger today. Charged 40mins battery go from 20% to 60%. Like 1% per minute... Is that speed normal for qc3?

i noticed. the charging speed seems slow too
Are you guys using QC3.0 or QC2.0?
Comparing the charge speed of the XZ with the Z3+ and Z5P (All using Aukey QC 2.0 charger), Z3+ and Z5P will charge at full 2000 mA all the way till 90% and then it starts slowing down there (temperature dependent).
With the XZ, it'll charge at the full 2000 mA up till 50% (again temperature dependent) and then it starts throttling (slowing down) at every 10%. Could be a "battery optimiser" feature or something.
The temperature throttling speed is at 40°C. Once the battery's temperature reaches at around that level, the current will slow down as to try and maintain the 40°C temperature ceiling. This is one reason why when charging in the car, I get one of those mobile phone holders that's long enough so that I can use the car's air conditioning to keep the phone cool.
