Sony Xperia is getting lesser and slower support from XDA.
Like no hope for getting exploit root.

I don't mind lossing DRM. I care about warranty only. I also bought another 2years extended warranty.
I usually only flash small mod, like adjust the speaker quality... seldom modify kernel level.

By looking back some old threads at XDA, seem like z3 was the last permanent exploit root.
For z3+ and z5, there were still having temporary root(used for backup TA before unlocking).
Since X series, there are unlikely any root without unlocking.

Rooting without unlocking won't lose the DRM and features but unlock will. That's why i hope, at least some dev can help with something, at least temporary root to backup TA.

Restoring TA actually doesn't unroot, but relock bootloader. Because root&recovery modified the system partition, which cause it cannot pass through dm-verify, which will bootloop. Finally you have to reflash stock kernel&firmware again.

I feel so wasted if the android machine cannot be rooted(at least sony is better than some other brands who didn't offer unlocking bootloader method, but sacrifice DRM was against my objective to root, to make the device better/perfect). OEM always set the device to a well-balanced setting. But actually our phones are more potential to do better (because the "well-balanced" setting will cause lesser trouble like overheating etc.) Not every flashing will need modify the kernel level, some little tweaks or system level.

Maxis consume more battery than other telco.
Before this, my z3 was using celcom, finish work still having around 55%, maxis just left about 35%.

My z3 has much better speaker than xz(one reason i flashed a nice mod).
The mod developer admit that xz has downgraded sound quality. (worse speaker and using Qualcomm driver, while z3 using external tfa(amplifier))

Anyone face this?

Android is different memory management than windows.
And phone is also not much multi tasking as a PC.
More ram doesn't really give you better performance for most case. Until few years later, a single app can spend you 2gb that will another case.

Keep saying no such thing, only got usb 3.0

Most funny is they told me higher voltage/amp because different countries having different electric current. Our country not supported lol.

Actually back to few years ago, when i want to buy the xperia s. The sony mobile fb page posted a promotion. I went to sony centre and they declined it. They even said the fb page was fake. Only refer to www.sony.com.my lol.
In the end, this promotion only valid at xperia shop.

My cousin z3, spoiled from water damage.
The board, LCD, camera, mid frame(point of water leakage), water proof sticker/cushion. All things quoted for RM1800 and it paid from sony extended warranty.

Download GPS status check how many satellite locked. If you have less than 6 satellite or unstable, that mean your phone have a bad antenna/chip.

My phone extended 2 more months warranty after 1 to 1 replaced the phone.
Is that normal?

I got my replacement phone on the spot. My phone top speaker spoiled just after 30hours.
But now my warranty until 27 dec 2017.

I didn't but not sure the staff.
I thought of this before, but free warranty is 3 months, mine is 2 months only. So weird.
