QUOTE(ckchan @ Oct 8 2016, 12:13 PM) Yeah... I assume that will be similar to some cleaning apps like Ccleaner that I've use. It does clean some cache, empty folder etc... Good for like every month maintenance. But I think it still doesn't really clean system junk file. Anyway, we'll see how well it does its job That's why we're blessed to have the Dual SIM variant here with 64GB memory. Although I would have preferred the dedicated MicroSD slot as opposed to this hybrid nonsense. |

QUOTE(seichirosano @ Oct 8 2016, 02:55 PM) but they stated they will use their own dispatch (thorus) if youre in klang valley area, whereas those who stay outside of klang valley will be deliver by gdex. That was on their product page, but looks like they all were sent out via Gdex. When I was over at their office yesterday, they were preparing everything via Gdex from the looks of things. Even mine was sealed and had the Gdex consignment note. |

QUOTE(Michael_Lee @ Oct 8 2016, 05:46 PM) Just found this thread on XDA, Can anyone confirm Xperia XZ works with Aukey products? Currently using my Aukey QC 2.0 wall charger. Only 1030mA. Gonna try my power banks etc as well.http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-xz/...charge-t3476116 This is the charger I'm using: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by Areas Elysian: Oct 8 2016, 06:00 PM |

I have installed Ampere and I'm doing tests now.
Battery is currently at around 80%. With the charger I linked in my previous post, it was doing 1040 mA. With the Aukey QC 2.0 10,000 mAh battery pack, it did 930 mA. Now testing with Sony's own QC 2.0 charger (I got it for my Z3+ that was purchased from Singapore), and it's also showing 930 mA. Unfortunately I do not have any QC 3.0 product on me to test. Could be a % thing that's throttling, not sure. I'll let my battery drain and do more tests later when the charge is lower. |

It's ok, I will download 100GB of movies via wifi. That should get my battery % down a bit. LOL.

QUOTE(Michael_Lee @ Oct 8 2016, 06:15 PM) There are 2 things which I'm not really sure too. Is this confirmed or just speculation?Quick Charge only works when : 1. Enables when battery is under 60% for safety reason. 2. Battery Care turned OFF Anyway, battery now 81%, so will report in once 50% when I do the test. |

QUOTE(Michael_Lee @ Oct 8 2016, 06:26 PM) LOL, no problems. Yes, I saw the XDA post, was just wondering if you read about it some where.Regarding %, it was never an issue for the Z3+ nor the Z5 Premium. Both went at 2000 mA all the way till about 90% ish where it slows down. I have disabled the battery care thingy, and it made no difference. Now just slowly draining the battery to test at 40%. |

Further testing.
Drained the battery to just below 60%. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « After that started charging with my wall charger. Maxed out at 2120 mA. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « It's now 63% and is stable at 1690 mA. Edit: Battery Care has been switched off. Latest update, 73% and it dropped to 1050 mA. Looks like there's some throttling going on based on the % of current charge.
QUOTE(yuhhaur @ Oct 8 2016, 07:40 PM) Did it in a controlled environment to check what's limiting it, we know high temperature does affect charging speed, so wanted to make sure it wasn't holding back. QUOTE(zero5177 @ Oct 9 2016, 01:36 PM) Guys, can anyone confirm the XZ LED flash capability? Is it weak like Z2 when served as torch light? It's really weak. Weaker than the one I had on the Z5 Premium which was weak to begin with.Compared to my wife's Note 7's LED, her LED on the weakest setting is still brighter than the XZ's LED. Edit: This is as a Torch. Have not used it while taking photo (which gets a boost at times). This post has been edited by Areas Elysian: Oct 9 2016, 03:36 PM |

QUOTE(ChuanHong @ Oct 9 2016, 10:20 PM) I'm getting poison and influenced by my friends as well. They will date me out in short time to do hands on and comparison for XZ and Z5 premium, together with other flagships.. Coming from the Z5 Premium. Couldn't be happier with the upgrade to the XZ. I need to hands on and compare first.. hahaha.. z5 premium still very good currently.. |
